US Pilots Labor Discussion 3/19- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

You people out West amaze me. I hope the East pilots will stick by their guns even if the doors close.

No dog in this ring, in fact, our dog has rolled on it's back, paws in the air, throat exposed with tail twitching waiting for a touch from our management masters, but after 32 years, your statement is one I can agree with.

Stay strong. Don't fear the future.

Whoa! Just got off the phone with a friend in AZ. What the (&)&(*^ was going on with that pilot and F/A beating up some guy out there????Was it an Airways guy?
Give it a rest Swan.

That topic has no traction.

No one cares except you.

Well, aside from an endorsement from East ( thanks buddy), and a pat on the head from Jim - most on this board think my idea stinks. So I guess we'll get along just fine when the time comes - if it ever does.

BTW, didn't that rash of jumpseat denials usually take place in and around the cockpit ? :)

Ok, Just so we have this straight. It's "stick to your out of whack entitlements and be out of work" rather than "face the realities of labor agreements that you made combined with the current state of the industry and remain employed". OK. Got it. Thanks. As a rookie with only 12 years in the industry, I really appreciate your insight.

So, was this the strategy that put your "dog" in it's current state? Care to find one that works for everyone, or just let the "dog" take one for the "team"?

As a rookie closing in on 30 years in this industry, I think it more of the same stuff I've watched fail over and over again.

Basically, yes.

Agreed, your situation is complex. But in our case, it was strictly DOH, with fences of way more than a year. And in the end, it all seemed to work itself out for the good of all.

True, some were hurt. But in a union shop, seniority rules.

Between Parker and his issues, and now this( which apparently hit a raw nerve) we better have the company roll out Sully and Skiles and clean up the corporate image again..................

Wait! Are you saying I should be credited for my previous experience at other airlines? Cause there were a few...

This is not a true union shop. Yes we have/had a national "union" but it is not like what you are trying to convince us it is. If it were a true union shop then we'd be required to pass through some apprenticeship program and our "DOH" would be established the day we were hired into such program or the day we began our craft in class.

I think we will all get along or at least give that impression. As for me, when it's done it's done. I will operate the same way I do now, follow FAR's, FOM, do the trip go home. Time for money. No favors. If the subject is brought up, I'll just have to say my opinion is different, lets not talk about it, and that will be the end of that conversation. You don't want to do anything that lands you in the CP office, all the CP's will be light on the trigger to show their muscle, and you know who will lose. But don't worry, this won't happen anytime soon.

I'm also interested in that. Would the poster have supported placing a 3 month new hire at AWA ahead of Delta's people with 16 plus years on the line?

What seat/position did that 16 year DAL pilot hold? What seat/ position did that 16 year USA pilot hold?

What difference does it make now? That arbitration is done.

the questionwas asked of the gentleman from Delta, as to how well he'd have appreciated the above posted situation...not you. When you start speaking for all Delta pilots as well as "the rest of the world", as is the norm for the west's arrogance...then fine.

Ya, that's just the kind of logic you'd expect from the east.

Our only saving grace is that they always end up capitulating to the company.
You keep raising that money HP. You are all going to need it. Since USAPA showed up, they've got nothing out of us. Same goes for you. Have a nice night,
