In regards to your America West is turning into American, so much evil comment, I must disagree. Perhaps you meant LCC is turning into American, but from my vantage point the former AWA pilots continue to do extraordinary deeds for the benefit of one another. For example, people have given toys, bikes and cash,(even turkey coupons) so furloughees can put presents under the tree this christmas, Win C. promoted his annual Pilots for Kids drive (something I do not participate in but donate to every year) and there is an AWAPPA thread demonstrating the support of his fellow pilots toward a prominent West pilot who is seeking a lifestyle of sobriety.

I could go on and on, with examples of the West pilots support for one another throughout the past 4 years, but I know you are already aware of them.

I realize what the next round of furloughs might mean to you and your family, keep the faith, we will get to a better place together.

This post shows why you will never have a joint CBA on this property with the Nicalou attached.

The westies bring out some old news about Mike and Dave and their different views. The EVP position was going away anyway. Dave is a great guy with great ideas. Both Dave and Mike are heading to the same destination. Just on different highways! The BPR has been dealing with this personality issue for some time. The BPR holds all the power. Not Mike, Randy or Dave.

The differences go back to the election and every east pilot that was paying attention knew of those differences.

The EVP position was created primarily to set up the union headquarters in CLT and Dave did an excellent job. His service to this pilot group has been tremendous. As always when someone steps down another steps up!

No phone calls to Brice. I go to the east directly.

Joint contract before the end of 2010 if not usurped by a merger. Pay rates - we won't be leading the industry for sure.

9th shoots down Seham. We'll know before the end of February if not sooner.

The two factions were well known by the even most disconnected east pilot flying the line. That, I admit is old news. But that's not what the news was about. They've been at it for a while. But for Ciabattoni to blink, especially when he's not the type to blink, means something is up. That something is not good.

As for the BPR holding all the power. Well, that's the illusion Cleary wants you to hold on to. Much tension as been created because the BPR is NOT as powerful as they like to believe. Ciabattoni pointed out this very fact in his letter.

I believe your data is incorrect, however I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say.

Yes, Mr. Nicolau did a pretty good job, however, had he done the correct thing it would have been top 500 pilots in 10 years, 500 West 0 east.

Now, usapa on the other hand, the union founded to steal West jobs, has a constitution mandating DOH.

Under DOH, the top 945 today, all east, the top 1000, 973 east 27 West, the top 2500, 2305 east 195 west, top 3000, 2715 east 285 West, top 4000, 3375 east 625 West,including furloughed east entering in well above AWA captains, top 5000, 3660 east including over 600 furloughed at the merger leepfrogging AWA captains and stealing jobs from F/Os vs 1340 West, in 5 years, top 500 all east, in ten years, top 500 all east.

That is straight from their proposed seniority list illegaly passed to the company.

Huh, If you have 10 east pilots and 10 west pilots and the 10 east pilots retire, which 10 are left? In know this is a tough concept but,.....
