Since he himself seems concerned about USAPA censoring his letter it is a pretty good bet he is aware that it has been going on.

Have you ever served on an ALPA or USAPA committee or just sat on the sidelines throwing barbs at those that do?

Don't be embarrassed for Dave. Be embarrassed for yourself for making a stupid remark about a person that has VOLUNTEERED countless hours of his time, blood sweat and tears, for the pilots of USAirways as an ALPA and USAPA rep.

Dave's a pretty smart guy, I doubt he is quitting, just taking a step back before next years you know what storm starts. After the current administration is thrown out he will be able to step up and say "Hey, I knew they were bad, that's why I resigned. Vote me in and I'll clean up their mess."

Well, it's not Cleary resigning in disgrace, but it'll do. For now.

He's still responsible for his contribution to the USAPA abomination, so I refuse to absolve him of anything until he actively works to help rid the US pilots of the mess he helped create.

Bush took alot of grief over the statement, "You either stand with us or the terrorists" but he was absolutely right. There is no shelter in apathy.

Dave C is a really good guy. If any side wanted a rational thinker, it is him. This has nothing to do with the end of USAPA. There are, obviously some problems with the leadership. It will be worked out. If you take this as some kind of good thing for the West, you are mistaken. It is not good for any of us.

You should know by now that the stuff I post is good info.

DC resigning (soon to be followed by another USAPAian if he's not talked out of it) is huge in that it shows the rift between DC and Cleary has gone critical. Critical enough that DC couldn't stay on any longer.

The only way this is going to be worked out is if Cleary leaves - period.

Prepare for a power battle in the next few weeks where the BPR is more focused on internal struggle instead of the pilot group.

And all this going on while the timer counts down to zero.
