Off the subject, who did capt wyatt earp call when he blew a hole in the side of the airbus at 10,000ft???? Did he call the Bradford cult??? No the non member called ALPA

What a bleeping i***t you are. USAPA has no legal standing in the situation. Why would he call them? ALPA still has the contractual duty to represent this pilot.

MOD COMMENT: This is a perfect example of how to get time in the cornfield.

What part of NO PERSONAL ATTACKS don't you people understand????

This poster now has 5 days to think about that.

I don't think union standing matters in his vote. I believe I heard from some folks that it appears that ALPA had reinstated them, as well. I think that may be a technique to get folks to vote for ALPA. Someone I know said it appeared that ALPA had even forgiven them their overdue dues and assessments. If true, and USAPA doesn't prevail, expect MAJOR lawsuits. Even if they don't prevail they should be sued for not maintaning "laboratory" conditions, or whatever it's called.

What's funny about this is I attended the ALPA Leadership and Open Bar Conference. One evening they had a Q&A session with the Almighty National Officers. A rep from Spirit asked Crater if he could see his way clear to forgive the "loan" given to some of the EAL pilots on Spirits list from way back during the strike. I forget the amount, but I remember it being miniscule.

Crater launched into a speech about how he couldn't possibly do it, as much as he would like to..........blah, blah, blah.........

But it's ok for the Amateur West boys? And they wonder why the whole union is tanking??

You West pilots have a choice:

Plan A, if you vote USAPA...

OH! CRAP!!! I already voted... Yep! ALPA!!!!

BTW don't put all your eggs in one basket. Sometimes creative entities come up with a plan "C." I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you... ;)

I'm wondering if this business of universal "forgiveness" out west from Alpa is true. Will any among the west "Alpa Faithfull" be so kind as to confirm or deny this?

Tiger: "BTW don't put all your eggs in one basket. Sometimes creative entities come up with a plan "C." I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you... " No worries mate. We've already been briefed on Plan C, which evidently calls for the total immobilization of us out here by burying us in tons of little cutesie-pie stickers ;) That onslaught's been planned for, and the consensus is that measured response via small chuckles is sufficient. In fairness though sir..if your mighty "ARMY" out there's now upping the weapons ante to include eggs and even baskets...we'll certainly have to re-examine our defensive measures....

Oh, I saw those conditions and restrictions that "might" get in the contract. What you meant to say was that USAPA, voted in and controlled by East pilots, will give whatever protections the East pilots feel the West deserves - and that doesn't seem like much according to the USAPA supporters here.

Jim
I don't think anyone east wants to go through another "north/south thingy" nor does anyone want a 3200/1800 vote.

If a west pilot knows they will be protected (unlike the "protections" imposed on Empire) they will be more likely to help lobby for all the things that make an airline job worthwhile. So their "expectations" become no worse than had AWA stayed a separate carrier (and survived) for only a few years and then, after, their "expectations" shoot up to much more than they would have had at AWA (had AWA survived). So the westies cannot cash their winning lottery ticket for five years.

Seems fair to me. Nicholau gave the westies a winning lottery ticket at the expense of the east pilots. The east pilots said, whoa, buckeroo, we are going to have you hold onto that ticket for five years, then you can cash it when retirements make things more even.

I wish I could have seen that because I am sure there is more to the story then a usapa member in alpa clothing is letting on. I bet you are one of the ones the quit right afterwards too arn't you???

Amateur west? more of the unfounded insults from the non rookies I see. Well one thing is for sure, no "amateur west pilot shot a hole in and aircraft!!! No amateur west pilot ever sent a picture of the Ku Klux Klan to minority pilots!! No all that belongs to you WELL EXPERIENCED TYPES. Can't wait to see your next experienced move

I'll grant that I've no fond notions on the firearms discharge incident, and I am very much hoping that some mechanical issue's at fault, but...etc. It must fairly be noted that the unfortunate pilot involved with that incident's not the only one out here who's "shot holes in an aircraft" and/or other then-appropriate targets, but that doesn't diminish the stigma associated with the recent incident. As for the supposed KKK to minority pilots BS...I'll hardly take your, nor Alpo's word for anything...and I'll leave the cutsie-pie sticker campaign, avatars, and ferocious little toy "ARMY" games to you and yours.

Do you REALLY want me to expose this guy via this forum?? He used his own email which has been fwd to the company. I would be suprised if he is not fired already!! I know you are trying to be this guys friend but come on man that was so far out of line that there is no excuse period!!!

Give it up, my friend. These guys will grasp at anything to skewer East guys. That is why possting on this forum is really useless.

Gee Whiz. Can we just count the vote already. I am so looking forward to the useful message post exchanges after the election. I am afraid ALPA has forever poisoned the water.. well at least for the next 25 or thirty years.

So just out of curiosity - my husband got his ALPA invoice today for our (joint) supplemental life insurance...... USAPA - what are you offering in this insurance plan? Are we going to be protected immediately if you take over?
I would have to advise you miss, it is best for your husband to vote alpa. The insurance products with USAPA will be the same, but the seniority gains your husband might realize working for america west at this time are best protected by alpa. This is an honest answer for your honest question.

I am voting for USAPA, it is a long story, but you are trying to do what is best for your family and I respect that.

By the way, I might have a Phoenix overnight in the near future and if your husband is on a trip, maybe we can discuss this........

Oh, sorry it was just the pilot in me. Never mind about the visit, but the original advice is true.

PS Once you have been with a East US Airways pilot, you will never be back.

Have you seen the picture? Can you describe it?

Before you make to big a generalization, check out message #5 on this thread and look at the first, and factually incorrect, generalization.

Their "expectations" under USAPA are that more than half of them get furloughed before the first East pilot.

Calling "not having your job stolen" a winning lottery ticket is delusional.
