It was correctly pointed out that he got a light smattering of applause from about ten people. Contrast that with the applause for Cleary, Randy Mowrey, and Mike Turpin. Not even close.
I finally got off my tutu and viewed the video(s).

Between Parker's lies about "outliers", Bular mixing facts (2% of fuel vs 2% of "times" or was that Parker? as well as his inaccurate verbiage) and the misspoken "CLT captain" who mixed metaphors, has little idea of captain's authority other than to admit it comes from the FAA and at least is honest enough to admit he has an agenda against Cleary, I was quite embarrassed at the display.

I must agree with Cleary, using company training to try to brainwash (or intimidate) senior pilots, in an aircraft category that had rates of adding fuel well below that of the other categories, is selective discipline. Those eight were targeted for maximum exposure and nothing less. Bular spent quite a bit of time, IMHO, not taking responsibility for the decision. At least one of the three, Parker - Bular - unknown and not very knowledgeable, but honest, CLT pilot, commented that the company pretty much bungled the operation. Mike was exactly correct. Keeping the data and criteria secret and expecting the line pilot to believe management is a guarantee to alienate any intelligent pilot who, over the years, has seen way too many hand-wringing but well intentioned (I presume) pilots drink the koolaide and end up, time and again, with egg on their faces.

Now lets say I start chirping like a bird on my military service. The reaction? I get raked over the coals for being pompous and arrogant.

In either case, east siezes on my posts and does his best to stretch the personal attack to its limits before a moderator has to step in. His insecurity and ego just cannot accept the fact that someone on the west might have some credibility. People like east are an essential part of the equation of life, though. Their approach to things occasionally precipitates good results. But they also cause a lot of frustration and, occasionally, hurt along the way. I, for one, choose to give these types of people a wide berth.

So, I'll leave this one right here.
"Now lets say I start chirping like a bird on my military service." Ummm.."start"?? = Too late to fret over that: NLC "but there were times when hundreds of troops on the ground maybe didn't get killed because myself". I defy any to find anything even approaching that self-proclaimed degree of personal "heroism" that I, or anyone else here has EVER posted = There I was, saving hundreds of troops on the ground....

"The reaction? I get raked over the coals for being pompous and arrogant." Don't be ridiculous..I couldn't care less about your being pompous and arrogant. I'm hardly one who could claim any exemption therein...and why would/should you care in the slightest about being considered "pompous and arrogant anyway? Being full of BS's another matter entirely.

"just cannot accept the fact that someone on the west might have some credibility." Not on the basis of your pathetic BS to date, they don't.

"People like east are an essential part of the equation of life, though." No argument. So are Walter Mitty "warriors" who's posted thinking's easilly referenced by Oprah reruns. As noted by BBoy " It becomes an either/or question." and all you've done is tap dance. When questioned at all..the most brilliant riposte available was NLC: Geeze, I'm beginning to understand how politicians feel when being pestered by nosey reporters - a lot of whom ask "leading" questions. Looking for a scoop. Looking for the headline. Well, OK, here's a headline for you:USAPA SUX GAS FROM PARKER'S (rhymes with gas)!!!!" No need to worry about "being pestered by nosey reporters"...You're not all that important, nor am I. The last portion's plain brilliant..and is fully what I'd think appropriate to offer when questioned on military service...sure thing. ;)

"I, for one, choose to give these types of people a wide berth." Hmm..wonder how that worked with people even far more irritating, and equipped with quad 37MM , SAMS and the like

No matter really = This is just an internet site. I'll leave you to again "get suited up in your speed suit" as you've said is the case whenever you fly an airliner around..hopefully, not get too stressed out by being " under tremendous pressure whenever they strap one of those babies on"...and decline much wasted time with further concerns over supposed time in your "gray jet"....NLC: "Your compulsions are showing again"........ Yeah..Better call Dr Phil. I'd think, from the content and flavor of your individual and collective postings, that you have him on speed dial. ;)

I'll go with giving you a "wide berth" as I'm past fed up with this bizarre nonsense. Have a nice life...If you can.

Have fun.

Sigh..OK..Back to the business at hand. AWHOPPPERS are again/still/anytime now going to sue USAPA out of existence...and strive for anything in the latest news that can compare to the absurd comedies always seen when the "shows" are in PHX.

PS: NLC...given your past "heroics"...can you state that you/anyone could even possibly be the least bit 'unsafe" because of a mere jumpseater? You BS "people" are both pathetic..and yet hilarious. No need to answer if that'd put you "under tremendous pressure".....

I watched it and I couldn't believe a CEO of a company would say "my bad" not once but twice while answering a question. I would expect that stupidity from a twelve year old not a CEO.

I know him, too. He is a poseur, the kind of typical pilot/expert who thinks he understands business because he reads the journal 2 days a week. His attack on Cleary contained no specific information. It was just a lot of whining about Mike having had a "vendetta" against the company for many years. The boot licking "my money is on Doug Parker" comment was like watching some high school student counsel kid sucking up to the principal. Even Parker had to be embarrassed by it.

It was correctly pointed out that he got a light smattering of applause from about ten people. Contrast that with the applause for Cleary, Randy Mowrey, and Mike Turpin. Not even close.

I'll bet his 401K and investment portfolio looks a hell of a lot better than yours does.

Talk about whining and vendettas, you need look no further than the reflection in your bathroom mirror.

Maybe you can find an old game show applause meter on E-bay. Like it really makes a darn.

A more brilliant method of assigning "value" to a person I've never seen. I'll guarantee that Osama Bin Laden's portfolio far exceeds even this individual's..........

Indeed Sir...but..perhaps we're just showing our "antiquity", and thinking of more respectful times....like when people wore suits/ties to any and all business affairs..and passengers even dressed decently to go to airports and fly/etc.

NLC...stop the BS..it's old by now.
The video clearly showed Bular and Parker dancing like tramps on the Vegas strip. Particularly Bular.

It was handled wrong...period. Right or wrong about the "reel-in",,,it was bungled....

In the end, USAPA guys are keeping them honest, West guys are still "observers by choice"

We will get a contract without them.

by their choice.

Parker was wearing a tie. I noticed Bular was not. And Bular's I.D. badge was improperly displayed below the waist. (Assuming his belt goes around his waist, it was hanging below his beltline.)

LAWSUIT AGAINST USAPA"

Not unexpected. But have fun anyway.

...I'm really scared now...just hold me..sniffle/etc

2. The award would only work if it was in a joint contract. It didn't make it. The next contract will contain a seniority list that complies with the C&BL's of the new union. Which was lawfully voted in and certified by the NMB.

That comes complete will all the contracts of the predecessor. Oops.

That comes complete will all the contracts of the predecessor. Oops.

Thusly, from piror threads... weighs in the "expert gunfighter"...seriously ferocious, self-assigned "pilot" of even twin engined light arcraft..and overall "Wizard of Oz"...Get Lost Punk. We all know what you pretend to "know'..and by previously. and fully establishing such astounding ignorance on so many subjects...well...that hardly qualifies you to be taken at all seriously

Have a nice evening..and someday get a life... ;).

Nicolau is a Federal Arbitrator, not mediator. His ruling was law on the TWO PARTIES involved, East and West. It was not binding on the company, nor a successor union.

You guys are going to find out the hard way that Seeham sold you a bridge to nowhere on that theory. And if not that theory, the one that postulates that the transition agreement (or selective portions thereof) simply goes *poof* because Bradford ginned himself up a new contract.

If you don't want to be part of it, you're not going to have any input at all. Snoop

They won't. Their lawyer, however, will.

Despite what Seeham says, there is precedent that suggests you cannot simply waive the majority wand and cram two groups together. What's unfortunate is that this business is going to stagnate the west guys for years and ensure that half the East list retires under LOA 93 by the time the majority of the Angry FO Club From Cranberry gets religion on the reality of it.
