I see Kevin displaying some leadership qualities here.
I am willing to bet he is a leader outside of work. He displays the tendencies of someone who leads from where they are.
Thank you for the kind words! :)

It's about to start. The profits are going to decline and fuel prices rising for now. Do we have a contract? We are not even in the meat and potatoes of negotiations yet. I would like to thank the greedy money hungry TWU and IAM as well as Jim Little for creating this mess of an Association. It has cost us money as each day goes by.
Our guys are so desperate for money that they will probably vote anything in that has more money regardless of the concessions and mandatory enrollment of the IAMPF. This might get ugly.
Read all about it here. I'm sure more similar articles to follow in the coming weeks.

I read this article and thought the very same thoughts. I am sure the asso. will now use these "bad times" for AA to agree to yet even more concessions and another reduction from the D+7%, down to the D+3%, and I think a fleet person has recently posted that Parker is now stating in the town hall meetings that it will now look more like "in line with".  looks like the "doom and gloom" campaign for the co. has begun. And of course this asso. will simply bow down and agree with the co. where they should be standing strong and demanding the original D or U+7% and still keeping the PS just like Delta does.  Good luck to you guys as it now looks like this asso. has now allowed the nego's to take long enough to start seeing the down turn in profits and will nego a contract that will reflect as such. The IAM should have gotten out of the way a long, long time ago or at least have allowed a simple vote between them and the TWU so that you guys could have had a good contract by now. Very sad indeed...

Yeah they are going to make 4 billion instead of 7 . If you were an AA employee you would have saw Parker's "Leap of Faith" presentation he would look pretty stupid claiming poverty now. Worry about your own contract

Worldport as much as your sense of humor has me in stitches sometimes, I also have to admit that I love it when you get serious and use common sense.

Yea they made 1.2 Billion in first quarter profit. Now that the stronger quarters are coming up we all should expect massive losses ahead. SMH.

BTW if you read the bottom of the Motley Fool opinion piece you get this.

Adam Levine-Weinberg owns shares of United Continental Holdings, and is long Jan. 2017 $30 calls on American Airlines Group. The Motley Fool is long Jan. 2017 $35 calls on American Airlines Group.

Darn disclaimers

They will be done when they decide how much they are outsourcing and which base is closing....it's all logistics
Sadly I agree. They are shifting work around the system as we speak right in our faces. The phase checks are being broken down and split to various stations in and out of the USA. Once the hack job is completed we might start seeing the compensation articles being addressed. By then the company will dictate to the association the head count needed. It's going to get uglier.

Good point. But in order to shift work throughout the system, say between LAA and LUS bases and stations, they need to be under the same certificate. With respect to maintenance and flight, we are not under one umbrella yet.
I would say that when the negotiators get to the more beefy issues, they will address the changes you mention.

Latest negotiations update was a real eye opener. Anyone still walking around waiting for the association to get us our money? You know the Delta plus whatever? How about that 4% across the board for everybody?
Company dragging their feet and the association is in internal conflict between the two unions and seniority issues.

ONE UNION, ONE VOICE!
Is this a hard concept to comprehend?
