Thank you for grammar lesson.  I think it is a little more important to concentrate on the meaning of the message rather than its conveyance.
Concure...  Hmmmm,  did I spell that correctly?   Who cares?  Everyone gets the message it is putting out.  Since the texting era started everyone seems to abbreviate in some sort of fashion.  And not everyone uses the exact same abbreviations.  Like RoadKing said get over it and listen to the message being sent not the grammar and spelling mistakes, it happens, and it will continue to happen.  Hey listen, everyone messes up. Even our directors and above send out emails and other forms with misspelled and bad grammar, sometimes completely f'd up beyond repair, when a simple proof read by his secretary would have fixed prior to the release...

Any Association group?  I think one of the groups can get a TA within 6 months... passing it is another matter.

Did I win anything?  I had 4-6 months....

Too bad it wasn't one of the larger groups, and now let's see if it passes.

Yea but according to Bogey on the other thread it took a total of 10 months. They started before we did. Some items in that TA though should be a basic template in areas for what we can expect too I would guess?

Hopefully with Peterson reelected the continuity although slow will continue. Many don't like him but he was the only president who openly and legally tried to stop the association from going through. Look at where we are today compared to the pilots and flight attendants with no association.

Do you think that if he didn't try to stop the association we might have a contract now? Are you saying one man is responsible for delaying  raises for thousands of members? Was he successful stopping the Association?

The association was formed for financial reasons to save the IAM and it's Scam pension. We were told we would vote on it. That was a lie. The TWU membership wanted nothing to do with the association. So again if we followed the pilots and flight attendants path we would have had our contract and the 4% raise plus whatever would have been negotiated. IAM should have conceded. The other unions on the property representing the USAIR employees conceded to the AA unions. They have contracts in place and are looking forward to the next contract. This Association was a scam just like the IAMPF. We the members are paying the price every day that goes by. Thousands of dollars lost in pay and benefits. No retro mentioned. The association is a disaster. I can't find anyone on the floor that was thrilled about it and many have come to see its downfalls.

The 4% was only given to employees who already had a JOINT contract, perhaps as an incentive for the other groups in negotiations. We have a contract why would we get retro? I agree with you the reason for the association was to preserve dues for both unions. You play the hand your dealt with. Let's get a contract and the you can go on your card drive. Any delaying tactics now  just hurts the members

The Association was the only one hurting the members and we were not able to play any cards because our hands were and still are tied. You sound like a supporter of the Association. Too bad the members on both sides have no real say. All we can do is express our opinions and discontent over the misrepresentation we have been getting over the years.

Bite your tongue. you just hit below the belt in no way am I  an association supporter. I agree we should have voted, but now I want them to  use all their energies getting all of us a good contract. No other distractions are needed.

We are going to get squat. They always use their resources in dividing the membership. Sorry if I offended you based on my interpretation of your posts. Meeting once a month is not moving fast enough. Everyone at work keeps joking about uniforms and bulletin boards. But that's pretty much the pace. So so sad.

Once a month? What updates have you been reading? Is that one day each month you're trying to imply?

I guess representation, system boards and grievance procedure aren't important items to you.

Please don't ever negotiate anyone's contract brother. Stay in the background and throw rocks. It's absolutely your one true calling in life.

Saw the DFW open house today I can't believe these idiots are still standing in front of a room full of people and asking for the 4%. The 4% was for work groups who already had a joint contact.Use your heads.how embarassing

Why do you care? Let them ask for whatever they want. We currently have nothing to write home about. I guess my response is embarrassing too.

I'm tired of people asking the same stupid questions over and over again the answer aren't going to change. At least after the meeting I have a better understanding why negotiations are taking so long. If we are going to live with the next contact for lets say 5 to  8 years or so, we better make sure the language is clear
