so I clicked on this thread and jumped about 75 pages since I last looked at it - when the questions in the post then were where was the ruling from the NMB.Apparently the NMB has been heavily focused on the failed IAM campaign for DL FAs.Anyone want to venture a guess on how that IAM effort at DL affects the NMB and the implications for the AA/US vote?
By law, it should have zero effect.
The issues between the two cases are very different.
But, after reading the letter from the IAM, my take away from it is:
Moving forward, it's going to be extremely difficult, if not impossible to ever get a showing of interest from any very large group to get a new vote from the NMB.
It just seems as if it's very easy to disqualify cards.
So, what ever Union a very large workforce has now, or does not , will probably be the way it will stay for some time, for whatever that's worth.
And again, if the rules are applied to the case in front of the NMB regarding TWU/IAM, it should be the TWU going forward, nothing else has showing of interest.
