Nice map!
How many have you seen?
I've bee a resident of "tornado Alley" since 1981 and still haven't seen one myself!
I have been a resident since 1959 and have seen many. I have been in a few and have help clean up many more. The Tornado Belt, moves North and South, but I can assure you that Texas and Oklahoma have them and have had them for years. We have floods here too...

swamt,
The terminal is leased by the company that operates it. Since the company pays the rent they have primary control under the terms and conditions of the lease agreement. Therefore having a meeting at the terminal under the control of the company means they can observe and listen to everything the union says on company controlled property.

So the point remains the same, why would a union hold meetings on company property (owned or leased) so that management can hear everything that you plan to do? 591 should be holding meetings at union controlled property where they can work with the members on what the plan is to get us the best contract in the industry without the company hearing everything you say. The same point goes for officers who are involved in negotiations with the company shouldn't be posting about how screwed up the committee is or the TWU strategy for negotiations. Why not just webcast every board meeting on the internet?
What you seem not to realize is there are certain individuals in the union that will go blab to the company about what the union is telling it's members.  We too have these same types here at SWA. Does not matter if you have meetings on or off company property.  Every group at all airlines have their little snitches for the company and will report any and all to them.  I hate that this happens but it does.  Most ALL unions know this and adapt accordingly and keep very "key" info within the union and nego ranks.  That is why it is not always a great idea to inform the membership of all the details, and for this part I do understand and respect.  It has been done here as of recent and the membership fully understands why, the very few that blow their top and insist that AMFA is open and transparent and they must tell the membership everything are more than likely the ones wanting to take the "key" information to the company. Pathetic, yes indeed, but we all know we have to deal with these types...

TWU Local 514 has had meetings at it's Union Hall(s) with AA Management. Perhaps it is a policy of the "Working Together" program? I believe Dennis Burchette was president through some of this. I do not recall who was President when Working Together was instituted. Company and Union officials have met together on neutral property also.

When I signed on to this forum. I let everyone know who I was. My Name is Larry. I work in Miami. I am a AMT. I also have been involved in holding Union Positions such as . Shop Steward, Chief Shop Steward. Exc Board Member. 2nd VP. 1st VP. and Temp President for about 6 months. I dont have a problem with everyone knowing who I am on this forum because I am known for my Honesty.I have not had a chance to meet Bob. But a Lot of people that I work with have told me about him and they have always had very good things to say about him. I am in no way trying to attack him. Its the entire Board I have a problem with. It is the fact that I have watched them make all kinds of decision without letting the members vote on it. We in Miami have always been able to take care of our own station. NO one from Miami wanted 591 until the Click that I speak of got elected to 591 or was appointed to positions by 591. I have asked Bob a few questions that  I already know the answer, I just wanted to see if he was going to let everyone on this forum know what I was talking about. As you see he has yet to answer me about the investigation of a incident that happened here in Miami with One of the Board Members and a AMT. I was there. I am not saying who was wrong or who was right but how can you rule on something without talking to the people that was there.

Money and Power makes  people become blind and out of touch with the people under them.

So you keep saying.

Experience has shown me when someone starts talking about how honest they are that is when you better be on your guard the most.

Truly honest people let their actions speak for them. They don't need to remind people how honest they are.

Then why are we reading these posts?

The Truth,
Good info however isn't taking care of your own supposed to be about all of us union members not just MIA? The fact the leadership is being played by management successfully shows me that we are ill-positioned for getting a good contract. If Knapp and Rojas have successfully brought the MIA membership to a place where they take care of their own then I want all members to part of "their own" type of leadership. I hope Knapp and Rojas accept the nomination when it comes their way. The ticket mentality is BS.

Practice what you preach:

Unless it's concessions for everybody to save jobs in Tulsa?
Then you have always had a different view.

Dave,
Not likely. I am not for sacrificing pay at any cost for someone's job. There is a good standard of pay for a good day's work and that is my view. Never said otherwise. Why you are so for AMFA that has tried many times to offload non-AMT jobs as unskilled is beyond me.

Bob what you are saying about why Miami is getting the work is NOT true.

Miami is getting the work because there are a very Large group of People that are in Management Pocket. Some of them are in Union Positions and Some are Crew Chief and the rest are just People that will do ANYTHING for a Dollar.

They send the Work down here because they'd know that no matter what it will get done because the people that I mentioned above will make sure it gets done  because they dont want to lose there own personal deals.

The whole reason you gave me about how Local 591 is better, is Bull Crap. How is it better when the people on Local 591 Board is working against each other. Dallas Chicago, and New York is One team and Miami is Another Team.

That is why the Company is playing Miami against the other stations. FACT. Not a damn thing to do with weather. We have always had great weather. We are getting all the work because Union Reps and Crew Chief are Bought and Paid for. FACT.
I could understand the union reps being bought and paid for...But please explain how the crew chiefs are bought off!

If I recall the alignment of the Line Locals into one was because each local into it's own was because of these become financially in solvent? Perhaps because of the removal of the Baker Letter at last BK Negotiations? , causing the union to pay for their own officers??

With just two sentences you're trying to change it to an AMFA debate again, I see!

and Overspeed, did you not somewhere within this forum say that you were for a M&R only Union?

Buck,
You are correct the multiple line locals being merged to one was for financial crisis reasons. A new side letter deal was cut with Durst but Wroble squashed it.

And no you remembered wrong. I am in favor of a TWU M&R local for AA. And if the choice were to stay TWU only I would vote yes for that too.

La Le lu le lo

Do you always have your lips on Bobs Balls or you just get mad if someone ask him a question that he can't answer because it will show that 591 Board Members are just as bad as Little and his boys was.

Bob .
I am Still waiting for a answer from YOU. Not from one of your little Balls suckers like  La Le Lu Le Lo or what ever the hell his cover up name is. Because he dont have the BALLS to say who he is.
