TWU-IAM Finally Getting Ready for JCBA Negotiations

Just looked at the survey.
It is multiple questions.
None of them had to do with the IAM, in fact the IAM and the Association are never mentioned.

International Survey coming!
Organized labor has been representing members in this country for decades and they have to ask what they should bargain for.
I believe these are for justifying what they don't get for the members!

I took their survey, they did not even know what part of their purview I am employed in. Their were little or no question concerning our current situation.

LOL!  Is this their fix for all the hatred towards this alliance?  Amazing.  They will never share the results to any of the membership so yea, they will blame you guys for what they fail to get done in nego's by saying, "the membership didn't want that per the survey."  What is funny is the TWU is acting so confident that they will still be representing you guys in the long future and there hasn't even been an announcement from the NMB yet.  Hmmmm.  What do they already know.  Bob was correct when he stated the TWU was trying to push the alliance thru with no vote, and the TWU admitted to these closed door meetings with the NMB.  I predict chaos coming soon at AA...
That may be true for the Line Mechanics out of TWU 591, but TWU 514 members will be good little members and do nothing but talk....

I looked at it too.  And guess what?  If I wanted to, I could have taken the survey myself, and I am not a TWU union member, and neither am I an AA mechanic or employee.  What is up with that?  Why is the general public allowed to click on and fill out the survey?  Why wasn't this made as a log in or sign in to fill out the survey?  I will tell you why.  The TWU will in fact have loggers get on the sight and provide survey results in their favor just in case they have to show some results to the membership.  If any of you want to call BS on what I am saying then click on the link provided in the above post and take the survey, ANYONE can take it.  And this is who represent you guys now, WOW!!!
And yes CMH, no mention what-so-ever about the association at all.  Really makes you wonder doesn't it?  At not one iota mentioned about the IAM at all, Hmmmmm.  What is really going on within the TWU at AA?  You all really need to start getting some answers. There is going to be a rude awakening coming soon, and every one will be asking, as I have always said from the very beginning, "how the hell did that happen",  or "how in the world did that pass?"--- My new opinion after this newly released survey is;  maybe the IAM is getting screwed after all this.  Hmmmmm???

This week, TWU's American Airlines local presidents are engaged in a rigorous, first-of-its-kind contract negotiations training course. This training, which began on Sunday, spans the entire week and is part of the union's coordinated strategy in preparation for upcoming contract negotiations with the airline.

Right now, the TWU/IAM Association is waiting on the National Mediation Board to issue a decision in response to our request for determination of Single Carrier Status. Before we can officially launch contract negotiations, we need to secure this determination. The NMB is currently reviewing the request — and TWU is actively working with the Board and doing everything in our power to expedite the process.

Once again the unions are making moves at a rather large cost to the union, to get prepared for nego's as if they already know for FACT that this alliance BS is a done deal.  I am not faulting the idea behind calling this meeting and rigorously training all involved in nego's (matter fact I applaud this idea)  but why in world go thru the time and expense in case this thing is completely voted down?  The NMB is doing the same thing, spending all kinds of time, and money on something as if they already know is going thru.  They both are acting out as if there will not be a vote and that this thing will be pushed thru by the NMB.  You guys might want to start writing the TWU/IAM and ask them point blank will there be a vote by the membership on this alliance of the 2 unions (association).  Get it in writing from the horses mouth.  Not no Q and A and some on here like to keep pointing out that means absolutely nothing, get it in writing and signed by the top gun of the international.  I believe the only party holding out and waiting is the company.  These other 2 groups are just going ahead with everyday practices as if this thing is a done deal.  My God I hope you guys get a freakin vote on this issue...

Article says industry experts were there. So what about Bob?

We are already aware that the company is willing to offer Delta +7% in pay. What we are witnessing here is another TWU smoke screen to keep you from adding up how much money you are losing every payday because they chose to create and advocate this stupid association crap instead of following standard NMB procedures.

Our favorite president and side kick on the far left. With representation like this, how can we go wrong.

So this is a rubber stamp, in your mind, that has so far taken over 7 months to decide. Does that sound right to you?

yes, it will be a done deal when the nmb makes its decision.  it took the pilots 8 months, and the flight attendants 6 or 7. but the question is: why didn't our union/unions/association file sooner?!?!?!?
