Don't know what the average is for DL fleet. That was Kip Hedges who said that many DL rampers make under $15.00 per hour. He was fired for voicing that information publicly.dfw gen said:But seriously in one of your posts recently you posted the average pay for delta fleet service was $15.00 an hour. With delta +7% that would be $16.05 an hour. Not bad I guess for fleet service.
Naw not really. There can only be one. Your doing a fine job.WeAAsles said:Of course I'm a schmuck. I'm a schmuck for answering you. Don't you kinda feel the same way?
Good luck with that. TrulyWeAAsles said:Don't know what the average is for DL fleet. That was Kip Hedges who said that many DL rampers make under $15.00 per hour. He was fired for voicing that information publicly.
DL top base rate for Fleet currently is $24.81. I'll be cool with 7% above that myself.

As long as things are happening to someone else, everything's okay.
Some time ago, TWUInformer opined that nothing would change until things got bad enough for enough people (I'm paraphrasing).
I think he nailed it.
that is the biggest problem i see around here. Lot of people willing to toss junior(to them) people under the bus to get theirs......Kev3188 said:Oh, I agree. I just think some people have given up all hope, and some people are consumed by IGM disease...
Care to take a guess how many of them are right here in this thread?topDawg said:that is the biggest problem i see around here. Lot of people willing to toss junior(to them) people under the bus to get theirs......

You really think going from a clearly biased post to a wikipedia post means anything?
You know for a group that doesn't have to worry about a representational election for about another 2 years, you guys are sounding awfully desperate.

There is NO 2 year bar on representational elections.
There is NO bar at all.
Cards can be turned in at any point because there was no election for certification.
Don't think that point is not lost on the Association, they know they are on notice, and they should be.
Look, they got the gig, crooked as it was, but now it's incumbent on them to comeuppance with a contract that's worthy, and in a timely manner.
If they trip, they should be held responsible.
I'm not a fan of how they got the gig, but now that they have it , do something to warrant the position.
The way I see it, things DID get bad enough both BEFORE and AFTER BK.......So what has changed? We didn't even get to vote an the association to demonstrate what may or may not have changed with respect to how we really feel.... The complacency was created by both the company and the TWU who helped sell the bill of goods.Kev3188 said:I don't think labor is pitiful. I believe you. I just don't think everyone felt/feels the same way.MetalMover said:The way I see it, things DID get bad enough both BEFORE and AFTER BK........
Sad, but true. Nothing was more evident than the TWU agreeing to toss in the 5 and 5 early out package as part of that industry leading 6.5% over six year 1995 contract. As it turned out the 5 and 5 was offered to ALL AA employees at that time, both union and non union. But by allowing it to be included in the contract helped sell out the less senior people for six more years. Typical TWU negotiating tactics, if it is not pitting the base against the line, it is pitting the senior vs the junior.topDawg said:that is the biggest problem i see around here.
