TWU-IAM Association thread

This is not a debate about AMFA.    All  i am asking is for all the great TWU negotiation accomplishments in the last 30 years that have benefitted their members and the industry?    I am tired of the TWU loyalist side stepping this important detail.  If you want to defend the TWU then do it by showing us all how the TWU ATD negotiations has benefitted M&R over the last 30 years.   if you can not, then just say so and we can move on if you can then start with # 3 and continue till you can't list anymore.

ready-set-go
Let's start by looking at the concessions I posted at post #111. Let's see if anyone of the TWU loyalists can justify or prove that those are accomplishments for the better of the members and the profession. WeAAsles replied with a sarcastic remark. I won't hold it personally against him since he is ramp. Let's see if any AMT can comment truthfully.

And thats your oh-so-typical dodge - you try to pass yourself off as credible, but then when you're hit with the indefensible, you're just here having fun and everyone else is overreacting etc etc etc.

Yeah right - post another video

Sarcasm is all you should receive anymore. You are irrelevant. Your agenda abolished and trampled on. Dust blowing away in a light breeze. Your nothing more but an echo now. A remnant of an idea that has no hope. An annoyance. A fly buzzing near an ear that should be just brushed away. A nuisance and a distraction to progress. A feeble troll on a message board who has no voice and no real following.

As Chuck stated at the beginning of this thread and a word that fits him now as well. Pitiful.

Hey check your settings, I'm suppose to be on your ignore list, right?

Yet here you are matching nearly message for message - so what exactly does that make you?

Obsessed perhaps? Maybe a _____ since I am suppose to be on ignore. Don't pay attention to the ramper behind the curtain. Hey Overspeed can you gives us some examples on how the TWU had made accomplishments for our craft? Maybe your watching the Red Tail movie so I'll wait a bit.

Overspeed and Realityck and anyone else for that matter who wants to move forward and help the process without getting into your muddy BS should just put you on ignore as well.

You're nothing more than a failed agenda. Someone that people should converse around. A guy standing on the side of the road begging for quarters and wanting to wash car windows for dimes.

Nothing more than a dead conversation. -_-

if this was he TWU they would have said "better vote for it and live to fight another day" .

The Northwest mechanics took the stand and lost the battle from no support but at least they did not lower the bar for the entire industry as the TWU has voluntarily!

would any TWU loyalist make the claim that the Northwest mechanics should have voted"yes" for this proposal?
If our proposal in 2012 had the same demands of eliminating overhaul would you have advocated to vote "yes"

Pilots, machinists, flight attendants unions cross picket lines

Striking Northwest Airlines mechanics face union-busting assault

By a WSWS reporting team
21 August 2005
Northwest Airlines, the fourth largest US carrier, launched a massive strikebreaking operation against its mechanics and airplane cleaners, members of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Organization (AMFA), who struck at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
nwa1-a21.jpg

The 4,400 workers walked out after rejecting management demands for a 26 percent pay cut, the elimination of more than half of their jobs, higher payments for health insurance and cuts in sick pay. The airline is also demanding a freeze on pensions and the transformation of the plan into a 401(k)-type “defined contribution” plan, which would entail sharp cuts in retirement benefits and make them subject to the vagaries of the stock exchange.
Northwest was able to continue flying despite the strike because of the refusal of the other unions at the airline to support the mechanics. The Air Line Pilots Association and the International Association of Machinists (IAM), which are members of the AFL-CIO union federation, are crossing the mechanics’ picket lines and continuing to work, as are the flight attendants, organized in the independent Professional Flight Attendants Association (PFAA).

The Red Tail movie should be required viewing for all working class Amercians; not just for the history lesson/cautionary tale that AMFA at NW is, but also to see what activists in other countries face.

We have it incredibly easy in comparison, and yet we sit on our f**king hands.
