700 what will you do when the IAM is booted out by the TWU this week or the next? Do we need to call crises care to have them watch over you during that time of heavy lost!!!! Hay look at it this way the upper grand lodge boys may look around at people to blame for loosing all the members at US Airways and heads may roll and you may get that shot to be a real time IAM Officer in a position with a coffee mug and hat and name on the door. there may be a silver liner in it for you....

I Know it would be hard for you to understand if the US MX members all put in AMFA cards but thats what they need to do or we are going to just change from one looser to another.
Keep your chine up 700 the IAM may call you in.

Wow. When did NYer say that.

What was said is that with the Association we will be given the opportunity to either choose the 401K or the IAMNPF, the IAM guys will get the same choices at that time.
JMHO,
You have nothing in writing. Not signed by the iam/twu and or the association (which I find quite funny... :p )
I have little doubt that unsigned flyers are being distributed throughout the masses to educate them on how this farce of a boondoggle will be better than wine & cheese, but at the end of the day these flyers are not signed and/or approved by anyone.
What you 'say' has no validity without documentation.
That's why you, weasels, etc still urinate in the wind...
Why don't you folks post some factual information with some signatures from the iam/twu/association?

Oh, that's right, it doesn't exist... LOL

If this is true Travis then why are the TWU Local President's heading over to the Wippinger center next month for 4 days of negotiations training? My local president said it in the first union meeting here the other day.

I guess you didn't get that memo?

IAM should not be collaborating with the TWU. The IAM should man up and walk away, there should be no runoff election and the TWU should takeover and gain the dues payers like they did in 2001 with TWA. Why did the IAM walk away without a fight last time around but not this time? TWU gave the IAM their dues payers at America West without a fight the IAM has collected their dues since 2006. Yes the IAM was in a much stronger position in 2001 but still.

Hey Karl Marx, I don't know of one AMT even speaking of the need for preferential hiring.  For me, it would be nothing more than a lame excuse for your D bag International types to accept sub par AMT pay and benefits in exchange for.  In other words, another convenient excuse as to why the TWU failed the AMTs in negotiations yet again.

Good to see you're capable of having a conversation without losing your cool and using name calling to make a point. It also shows the type of person that is trying to "persuade" others that AMFA is the way to go.

Either we agree with you or we're "commies." That's a pretty childish way to make a point.

You may not hear anyone speaking of the Preferential Hiring because they weren't at work to speak about getting an opportunity. Of course, those that were able to get positions, in any title group, are unimportant to those that have a single agenda and it often deals with themselves to the detriment of anyone else.

I think the reason the TWU Local Presidents will be participating in this 4 day training session would be to learn how the IAM works since both the TWU and IAM are working together to bring this association to AA. At some point they must collaborate, true?
The IAM is going to run the first 2 yrs of the Association so why not learn the IAM ways of negotiations etc....

Which of your Locals Officers will be asked to give up his position to one of the USAir employees to be on the of fairness? Or will they just create a slot and then Pay him/her out of your locals dues?

The scenario that Travis throws out is one that could happen if the NMB rules against the association.  If there is No association then there would have to be some type of election when AA and US merge correct? How many AA'ers would sign on to get rid of the TWU and bring in the IAM from fleet? Do you think that the IAM represented employees  want the TWU?

Which side TWU or IAM would be gobbled up? (THE IAM) correct? Y or N?

If the NMB rules no association then cards would or could be submitted by each class and craft hypothetically correct? If we get a Vote which way do you think your class and craft will Vote?

Are your fellow workers willing to give up on the TWU? I don't see Association shirts or buttons while out on the field or even stickers, why?

From what we read the IAM guys won't go down without a fight, due to the pension they have.

If we get a Vote which way is Fleet going to go?

a. Association ______

b. TWU _______

c. No Union_______

d. other________

Disagree. Local presidents are ELECTED by the membership. The membership got rid of the Gless and Videtich can't say the same about the IAM or CWA.

Josh

This comment would be about the mechanics I assume but just what is your class and craft going to do about the association with the IAM?

What did your Local Prez say about that?

Have you even talked to the Local USAirways guys and asked them what they think about the merger of the two unions fleet work groups?

Is your group just sitting by and letting the TWU/IAM do what they want?

Are you and others questioning these actions and if so what are you asking and if NOT then why NOT?

One more thing you do need to notice they set the negotiation training for next Month.

Why not this week! Looks like they are giving space so as not to waste their time....

Ok. Ever get the feeling that someone "might" know something that you haven't been let in on just yet?
