TWU and IAM representation alliance vote

 WE the TWU dont care what YOU the membership want. YOU will do exactly what WE want or WE will leave YOU with no representation. When WE abandon YOU then AA can do with YOU whatever they want. WE dont care if YOU would prefer either the TWU or the IAM. YOU will do what WE want or else. This is not a democratic organization! This is corporate unionism in its most blatant form! Let the dues flow!           This is the translation of the message TWU and IAM are sending their members that they are supposed to represent. And there is no spin that anyone can put on it to refute that without lying through their teeth.

It sounds like local 514 is trying to save their own union jobs. Didn't 514 USE to have rampers at Tulsa then during bankruptcy their jobs were farmed out. Doesn't sound like the TWU stopped that from happening, what about MCI or AFW, did the TWU just sacrifice those guys?

If AA wanted Tulsa gone, Tulsa would be gone.

Why pay for something, when AA is making all the decisions based on their business plan which doesn't include consulting the TWU.

Right now we have union tech cc instructors going to different stations to train contractors to do what use to be our jobs, could you imagine the APA or APFA letting that happen ? The TWU lets it happen.

Don't let the TWU scare you, when you look at the guys always asking for a union steward, you know you're thinking two things 1) I'm paying for this goofs defense 2) that goof probably shouldn't be working here making what I make.

One other thing DP is always saying he's going to pay us what delta and UAL make. Who honestly believes the TWU is going to get us a SWA contract?

Keep the TWU at AA, President Obama loves the TWU campaign contributions (union dues)

Some very important steps in our near future will be the vote on the Association and then the Harmonizing of the two CBAs. The Association vote will be the same as any representation vote if the Association isnt voted in we would lose our current CBA. With no CBA we become At Will Employees. That means you can be fired for no reason. You lose all the negotiated rights of pay, seniority, transfers, and riff procedures, just to name a few.

Who ever wrote this is completely off their rocker.  I have told you guys for months that this Alliance is and will continue to use any and all scare tactics to get you guys to vote for it.  What union in their right mind would put this in writing that you all would be on your own, and THEY (both unions) decertified at 2 different carriers?  Think about this crap people.   Like 1AA said, BRING ON THE VOTE TWU/IAM, let the members decide. Don't be scared as you guys obviously are, WOW this is freakin PATHETIC...

The stupid and lazy are attracted to UNION jobs because they can not retain employment anywhere else. Unfortunately it gives the good UNION employees a bad name. 
 
UNIONS today are 10 percent of the employees pulling the cart for the other 90 percent. 
 
UNIONS would do well to let companies "clean house" of some of the dead weight once in a while.

Did anybody else notice that the alliance isn't talking about industry leading contract like the APFA and APA, which has both us and aa FA's and pilots respectively.

That tells me that the alliance is doing nothing more then scaring the weak and plan not to get us better contracts other then what AA is going to give us. Which is equal to Delta and UAL according to Doug.


Like the TWU has been telling me for decades "you have options" my option is NO alliance!

Get used to it. Here's how the scenario will play out......The TWU is already threatening how catastrophic things will be If we vote against the alliance. They already insinuated that MORE outsourcing will take place if they are not around to oversee things with their ironclad rule. They want us to believe that the minute we vote NO the alliance and NO UNION, we are all going to get fired, have our salaries cut, have all our seniority wiped out, etc etc.  I have never seen a mass firing at will of non union employees. I see the non union agents bid vacation, shift ,and days off by seniority. I see staff people bid the same way.
So TWU, try another scare tactic.
I believe the IAM will be threatening the same armageddon type scenario but add in the threat of the loss of their pension.

Do you not understand the disgust and distaste we have for the TWU if we are willing to go non union? Of course I would prefer AMFA, but there will always be those who cower to the threats that you are spewing here.

Doug is a #s guy, yes you will see most of heavy gone and he will outsource whatever he can.
 
Go look at his history at HP, all they did was a few c-checks, everything was farmed out.
 
Its not a threat, its the reality of business.
 
Go ask the PMUS Fleet Service and CSA what happened to them in 1992 with no union.
