Tulsa Union Leaders in the News

Don't leave out Pike at 567, he was very vocal in the push for a No vote. Received info from our local yesterday about Cirri nominating Hewitt for an international job, anyone else see the nomination?

McCormick did not endorse a no vote. 563's board did against his wishes. Bob not telling the truth again?

Overspeed snap out of it !We were getting nothing in 2010 two dollars in one pocket 10 dollars out the other. We are the lowest of the low, most of us are not going to play the TWU/AA game anymore.
A unions roll is to obtain the best wages and benefits possible for their members,If they can't or won't
maybe they need to step aside. Some people may get laid off,at least when they come back ,it will be worth coming back to!!

UAL did not give $75K for each employee that wanted to leave in BK in 2003. Get your facts straight. They did that almost eight years later after outsourcing all airframe overhaul.

All you do is complain about how screwed up everything is but you offer little in the way of viable solution other than let's go on strike, get locked in jail, or force the company in to liquidation. Since deregulation how many unions have been successful after going through a BK hearing? Try practically none. AS, UA, CO, NW, DL, HP, and US are all better off right after BK right? Wrong. UA just got back to $37.50 after seven plus years, NW was decimated, DL just back to $37, HP and US are finally passing us but we would be passed all of the ones I just mentioned had we voted yes on the July 2010 TA ("Vote no, there is more money on the table), and AS should be making bank now since their airline has even chased the mighty WN out of their backyard but AMFA did not deliver (they should be making UPS wages or better).

Can't wait for the day you finally deliver on any of your predictions.

The other airlines didn't rape their employees for 9 years before they filed for BK. There is lots of hatred towards management for what they've done, or haven't done to right this ship over the past 9 years. Most aren't willing to give 6 more years voluntarily to a bunch of greedy executives NO MATTER what they do going forward. I'm absolutely sure most everyone that voted NO, knows things are going to be much worse with a yellow dog term sheet shoved down our throats. If AA thinks that employees are gonna step up production, they are badly mistaken. The lawyers and advisors really don't know the frontline employees of American Airlines and are providing the company with a flawed business plan because Tom Horton and others have continuously said, "AA's business plan is predicated on having employee participation, increased production and running an efficient airline", well, your NOT going to get that with very pissed off employees!!!

Interesting, for years you and other stooges have been claiming how great the TWU is compared to other Unions in the industry, Using claims of all heavy maintenance is in house, we still have our pensions. we have more than one maintenance base.

And yet when your own ass is being handed to you, you still attempt to deflect blame by pointing at others.
That crap is not going to fly anymore. The TWU is worthless and the truth is now upon us all.

My ass did not get handed back to me? The outcome is still undecided. The TWU did do better than everyone else. Up until the judge makes a ruling we will still have more work in-house than any other airline.

And seriously, you are gloating about losing your pension and massive amounts of jobs? You truly are a miserable person. You will only be satisfied until you and your group of fellow con artists (Ruiz, Rojas, Petersen, Owens, Pike, and Schalk) have completely destroyed the jobs and benefits that the TWU Int'l is trying to maintain. You have finally revealed your true goal of making AMFA/AMP look better by tearing down the fact that the TWU's efforts to keep work in-house and maintain the pension. The so-called fighter groups at every other airline have had their asses handed to them in BK court and now we are very close to having the same thing happen to us.

Have you read the APA and APFA statements in court. They already conceded that they know deep cuts are needed but they just don't agree with the valuations. Guess what my puffy chested man, we are headed for getting pimp slapped in court. BUt then you will be able to brag that the TWU didn't do any better than AMFA. That the TWU sucks but why is that? Because liars such as yourself and Owens gang of liars convinced just enough people to vote no because they were going to get a better deal after BK. The TWU Int'l said to take the deal in 2010 and you and your fellow liars said no we could do better. If the ruling goes against the TWU you will puff out your chest and say the TWU was weak and not own the lies that were said. Owens will say if he was in charge he could have got a deal. Sure, yeah, whatever. The fact will remain that we all lost in the end. Nobody wins in BK but big business.

They already are showing the best on time numbers in years. I would say they know us all too well.

Recalling damn near everybody, hiring, and 9 more years of pensionable service accrual is rape?

and, I think losing about $200K, double-time OT, 9 weeks of vacation, 1/2 pay for sick-time, in exchange for hundreds of millions in executive bonuses.....is what I call Classic Rape of employees.....the TWU calls it "shaared sacrifices" and "working together".....yes, it's called "Working Together to rape the employees and diminish the craft for the entire industry!!". And, the only thing that you can hang your hat on is that "YOU" saved the pension. Really?? I'm 47, I can care less about the pension.....right now, I need cash in my pocket!

I like i overspeed but I think he's wrong on this issue, and this was well said !!!!!

Overspeed, I am impressed! I figured you to be hiding under a bed pretending to be a carrot about now. But, I see you are still leading the charge against Bob, calling him out on every point. When you're ready to take a break from chastising Bob could you answer a question for me. What size shirt do you wear? I have one that says, 'Vote No' and another that says, "We're going to fight like hell!
You should wear the Vote No shirt then step behind your office and snap on the T and take all of us a pic for facebook. I would really like to see who this guy really is! TheTWU must be removed from power and replaced with a more democratic one. AMFA, and AMP come to mind. Better hurry though cause this is heading to Ch7 quick.

Thinking only about you I see. You don't see the whole picture because you only care about yourself.

You want to talk about rape? Switch places with the guys at UAL. No pension, half of their workforce were dropped off payroll with no severance, retirees lost their medical insurance, if your job was outsourced you lost all your weeks of vacation, and millions in executive bonuses paid to NOT leave the company. The story is the same at US, NW, and DL. You talk like you are the only one to get screwed in the airline industry. Wake up. We are in well travelled territory and history is about to repeat itself.

Like it or not, the craft was knocked on its ass in 2003 with all the BKs and outsourcing. We are now going to join them 9 year later.

Chapter 7? You're dreaming. Abrogation will be first then a merger before that is even an option.

I'll wear that shirt. I have one for you that says, "I bring nothing to the table."

Judge Lane is about to take charge of Bob and his lies.

I'm not blaming Overspeed for his concerns regarding jobs, but WE took it in the shorts to save jobs in 2003, and like he admits, AA recalled everyone back & hired off the street. Therefore, Bob is right, protect the wages & benefits in lieu of jobs because eventually those jobs WILL come back.

Disagree big time. Between dysfunctional management, break room politics obsessed Locals, and refuse to work AMTs we became one of the most unproductive AMTs in the industry. Ask a Southwest guy how many AMTs they have working the terminal per departure, or how many AMTs does it take to do an ETOPS at UA/CO, or how many AMTs does it take to tow an aircraft at any of the other airlines? It will be a lot less than what we use. Face it, we are our own worst enemy. You have Locals arguing with the company that it takes a boat load of guys to do the work that used to take the old timers when I showed up less than half the guys it does now.

I agree with not recalling guys all those years. We should have been getting leaner and asking for more money for the productivity but instead people like Owens, Pike, and Ruiz said no. No we will not work harder unless you pay us more and by the way, we need more recalls. They all pulled the plug on going for efficiency and slowing down recalls. They told people to refuse OT so that it would force the company to recall AMTs. These guys are the ones who are arguing you should vote no because they are so good at getting what they want. Unfortunately that is working to lowest level and asking to be paid more and that is a losing argument.

The TWU has groomed me to think about "me" only! There is no unionism at AA, and the company knows it. They have employees getting paid to monitor this forum, and all they see is so-called "union brothers" at each others throats.

You can believe what you want, but the majority spoke loud and clear. Let AA do whatever it takes to right this ship, and I certainly have my doubts, but the majority decided that WE will not voluntarily give them one more dime. They will have to steal it through the courts. I can't wait to see if AA really follows through with rejection.
