If someone could..............

In the picture, under the "AA", how many aircraft does that hangar hold?  Also what is done in the main building on the left and right of the open hangar doors?  What are the other out buildings, and just how many people work at this facility?

Thanks in advance!
One  aircraft, under the "AA" that is 2B which holds one aircraft, but to the left is 2A one aircraft, to the right is a shop and farther right is 2D one aircraft. Hangar 1 ABCD is on the far side one aircraft each. In the foreground of the Open Doors, right side is a shop and to the left is a warehouse. The picture is just a small part of the facility. As to the number of employees, it is hard to answer. Are you asking about that Hangar complex or Tulsa?

Thanks for the tour.  And as for the number of employees, how about both?

I guess you asked that question because you guys seem to be more divided, line verses hanger, than we are.  Here in PIT, almost everybody down here at one time or another worked the line.  And because either we became junior because of the de-hubbing of PIT, or we just got tired of the weather, made up our minds on which area we wanted to work.

"American Airlines is still a major employer in our community, providing some 5,550 quality jobs at the maintenance base."

From the article.

Here's a view of the entire base.
Great picture!  Thanks!

Oh man, I had no idea!

See that little building to the left of the main road, kind of in the woods?  That's PIT !!!

We're done.  That's it.  I can see it now.  I'll be loading up the Dodge Ram and pulling the U-Haul to Tulsa.  Are gun racks required in the back window?  And can anyone suggest a nice flop house in the area?

Housing is cheap here.

We are divided, we are divided inside TULE, we are divided between shifts, we are divided between docks. And yes we are divided with the Line. The division between TULE and Line in my opinion was brought on by the arrogance of the TULE Local especially due to population. Now that the Line may out number the base maintenance?  TULE Title I is about 3000. I think Facilities is around 300-400 and then Stores. I do not know how the other groups feel about there peers, but I can assure you Title I here at Tulsa has it's problems and they are not new?

Unfortunately many of those in PIT will learn new terms such as "crashpad"....that your 25+ years of service means nothing with FCFS non reving and the "No VTO issue" really stinks......welcome to the largest airline in the world where you are nothing more than a number....

This is the reason for the rush to JCBA and negotiating a new contract...If and When it comes time to relocate, both LUS and LAA employees will have more locations to choose from.

Unfortunately I don't think there will be openings in TULE, they most likely will lose heads, the openings are in JFK, LGA, ORD and LAX. housing is not cheap in any of those stations.

I find it funny how the USAIR people think that their seniority will get them on any flight. I guess they don't realize there is a lot seniority at AA. There are a lot of the real senior FAs that commute from all over the country, and they like to bring their husbands on their trips. I'm talking 35 plus years.

Look on the bright side, you'll never get bumped by the daughter of a 30 year part time ramper who shows up at the last minute. Also you can travel all over the country, rather then just CLT, PHX PHL and DCA.

If you are curious about the Base layout you can go to our AMT home page click on either LAA or LUS scroll down to communications, click on ME Website, under Base Maintenance click TULE then under TULE featured sites is a TULE map that will show the entire base layout.
I am kind of curious if you guys have full access to jetnet and our seniority lists.
