Tomorrow's the day we begin the process of ridding ourselves of the TWU. We need to decide which union and get the ball rolling.

Whatever the results are of the vote, we need to say goodbye to the TWU.

i second that!

When the decision is made for a drive, we all need to be on the same page.

IAM....no thanks. How about setting your sights a little higher. As it is, there are probably enough AMP authorization cards signed right now to be included in any representational election. I would sign an AMFA card as well.

I hate to say this, but if by chance this thing gets voted in, it will be hard to ever oust the twu. 9 years has been to long for these games. We want and need a consensual agreement with aa that actually has scope clauses that protect us and the work we do. Just becuase someone says thats not the way its going to be has nothing to stand on. Its needs to be a signed consensual agreement. Not some lbo take it or leave it deal. Please don't add 6 more years of gives back. The cost of are pension and medical alone has to be saving aa millions. This lbo has holes all over it in. just look at the early out package. One person gets it, they( aa) lived up to the agreement.

AMFA and NW should be enough reason not to go with them.

Just like the iam at eastern?
AMFA at NW was hosed because no other 'union' supported them.
Every NW Union crossed their picket line. Every one!
IAM did some questionable work (pushbacks).
NWA IAM ex President and Chairman were one of the 'first' to cross the picket.
What does that tell you about solidarity?
Your voice:
Iam is Really a Scab Union
The IAM was wrong for doing that work where mechanics were staffed, but what you fail to realize is that the rampers did 95% of the pushbacks in the system.

And one group of workers at one company does not make a whole union scabs and they AMFA/NWA contract was modified and the IAM has pushback language in the IAM/NWA Fleet Service Contract.

FYI, AMFA is doing quite well at SWA and AK.
