Teamsters "raiding" TWU?

Anomaly;

You have been screamin on this forum how AMFA has only extended contracts. And you have stated that was a very bad thing to do when a carrier is profitable, growing and purchasing A/C. After reading the article below let here your dance around this one. Also note where they too recieved raises for the 6 yr extension, as did AMFA mechs at SWA. Also note where the teamsters admitt that they came to an agreement between the pilots and company with a "letter of agreement". At AMFA ALL "letters of agreement" are voted on by the membership.
Let's not forget you are still tap dancing around WN's question pertaining to the 2004 extension at SWA. You see, your super mighty teamsters also condone extending contracts when they see it as a better move than sec 6 opener. And you don't hear anyone complaining about it.

Recent e-mail recieved from a UAL AMT

Hi, I'm currently a UAL mechanic at ORD , I've always been an AMFA suporter and still am. I just wanted to pass along what Don Rodgers and others say about IBT lies is correct. They promised to open the UAL contract and reinstate the pension, they promised an industry leading contract with top wages and benefits , to reinstate 100% sick time pay, to improve retirement savings, 401k, ( no company match like other unions get ) etc. and more. In the end we got nothing , actually less than nothing because they've screwed up our contract language in so many areas.

Also, AMFA was at a disadvantage since they could not, or were not given a chance to negotiate a contract once UAL emerged from bankruptcy since they were voted out. I thought AMFA held out very well when the company came to mechanics for concessions, concessions that all work groups were required to give. I hope AMFA prevails at AA , and they come back to UAL.

OK, sorry, but that was funny. So what is the back story? I appreciate the link, but you have to give me more than this....

Was the Pilot contract expiring? Was this in lieu of the upcoming baseball arbitration? How are the other aspects of the current pilot agreement? Did they have to give anything up for this extension such as work rules or were the provided to give in to increased flexibilities? Were they forced to send any Pilots jobs to El Salvador in exchange for the agreement? Do they have to help load the aircraft? ( I hear even SWA Pilote are required to load aircraft if required? Don't know for sure, but I may have read it somewhere?)

Your link is a step in the right direction, but you have to provide a bit more if you want me to chew back on my own words. Not seeing that happen yet.

Just pointing out the fact that the teamsters too will extend contracts. For me too look for and research for more info is not going to happen, I have better things to do. I'm sure more info will follow the voting proccess, as they normaly do after the contract is voted in. BTW you still have not answered WN's question to you about what we supposively lost in our contract extension with raises as the teamsters just did with pilots that we are currently discussing. Why won't you answer him Anomaly?? He's still waiting... As we all are.

I have given you plenty of chances to "chew back" your claims that we got "ZERO improvements" from our 2004 contract extension.

With all your research, you should be able to easily show what we gave up to equal our 9% raises, increased stock options and profitability bonuses.

You now like to ignore people when you can't prove your lies.
You could just say you were wrong, but you are not on here for honest debate.
You just want to talk down ANYTHING AMFA whether it is true or not.

The fact remains that we at SWA are very happy to now be AMFA members, and enjoy controlling our own negotiations and grievance resolutions.
No longer will the IBT allow the company do do as they please without challenge.
No longer will the IBT write vague contract language into our contracts that the company will use against us.
No more IBT back room deals, we vote on everything.

Just because your infighting at UAL caused your mechanics to never build strong AMFA locals and enjoy the freedom to determine their own future, is no reason to try to say AMFA has failed here at SWA.
We are doing just fine without the IBT and are loving the freedom of being out of their shackles.

Still waiting.......

You can say it.....

You were wrong.

Wow, this thread faded fast.

Are the teamsters still 'raiding' the TWU?

Hey Teamster supporters, what's up? Are ya close to filing for election?

Just wondering???

Anomaly can't back up the claims he made on here so he just ignored the thread and went away.

Not sure what facts you are referring to Simpleton Jr. and no I didn't go away just been a little busy doing computer work.

I understand, I think everyone has now increased their second job revenue to pay for the TWU sellout.

And your medical increase has not even hit....yet.

Those are the FACTS. Adn you love to defend those facts.
