Teamsters "raiding" TWU?

If you check the ibts LM-2s for the period in question I'm sure you'll find the rather large payouts to NWA during the strike period.

Hoffa never of course admitted to it, nor would he. It wasn't just him alone as I recall, he was just the biggest fish. If memory serves Keegal and a few others from the International were ID'd coming off NWA aircraft.

There is a video of him getting questioned by a reporter on the subject and he looks like a deer in headlights, I'll try to find it.

Thanks, but heresy is not what I am after. The LM-2's will not tell me that Hoffa walked across a picket line and boarded a plane. If you have some evidence I am more than willing to chase the subject down. Like I said before, it will not change my opinion of the Teamsters, but may cause me to question the leadership more.

If I have some proof in my hand I can at least say something...but what you offer is not proof. Just more stories. The Hoffa team have already denied this to me, but did so offhandedly. I would like to pursue this, but need the help of those of you who have some type of proof or at least some specifics.

I find it funny how often you cite LM-2s and NOW seem unwilling to accept them when offered as proof against your position.

Since I personally didn't see Hoffa board a flight I'll just leave it at this, "SOMEONE(S)" in the ibt did, and to the tune of aproximately $600,000 as I recall. This wasn't individual locals this was the International.

The ibt crossed a legal picket line ... several times it would seem.

I can tell you a cat can fit in to a pudding cup and tell you where to find it, but it does not make it true. Do you have some absolute proof that Hoffa crossed a picket line and flew a struck airline, or not? Real simple question. If not, move out of the way and let someone else provide it for me.

Nothing fake about the webinar, good info and genuine answers from the frontline mechanics. Good job!

AMFA does a good job with these productions. I guess now we know where the money gets spent B)

Except for all the incorrect statements from the speakers like ex-IBT BA (who was fired by the SWA membership by the way for incompetence) I can appreciate the campaign value. That is what this was. A one sided spin created to sway voters. In the end, there were really no questions answered "live".

I could do a fact check of the entire presentation if there is a desire on this board to read it?

One item for thought....There were many discussion points on how bad the Teamsters are doing at UA and Horizon and how the switch from amfa to the IBT has been a disaster. If that were true, why are both airlines STILL with the Teamsters? Why no active amfa organizing campaign on either property?

It was funniest when Looney passed a UA question to an Southwest mechanic turned IBT BA, turned amfa rep? How could he possibly know what happened at UA? Maybe his performance at amfa was a clue of why he was fired at the IB? Check out his "monthly" constitutional required reports.

No conflict of interest here....

If the ibt BA you are refering to was fired or removed by the SWA membership, then why in the hell is he now a Regional Director VOTED IN by the SWA membership, as well as other memberships??? The way I recall it is he was removed by the ibt because they did not like how he was open to the membership about the on goings of the upper ibt representatives as well as back door nego deals being done in hotel rooms. He was not removed by the SWA membership. The reason there is not campaigns at UA or Horizon is, I believe there is a mandatory waiting period of 2 years for another representational election to take place. I am not 100% positive on this issue, but, I do know there is a waiting period. If anyone knows pls chime in.
BTW, YES pls do your little fact checking that you offered. Why your at it, you need to answer WNMECH question, or should I say, your fact checking of what was lost in the 2004 contract. We will all be waiting sir.....

You are such a liar.
Teamsters Business Agents are appointed, and there is NO PROCEDURE for any Teamsters membership to "remove" a BA.
If you know of one please show me.

And every question answered at the end was done "LIVE".

Why is it that you cannot refute any of the issues raised for well over an hour of broadcast? All you can do is attempt a feeble effort to defame Jack Coonrod. And then complain about the money spent to bring this information to the viewers.

We are offering an idea to put all AMT's into one single craft union and to stop being used against one another at the bargaining table that results in this race to the bottom in pay and benefits.

All you offer is "Join the Teamsters" as a solution, which is nothing more than protecting the status quo, most likely because you want to maintain your appointed/over paid function that makes you the ZEALOT that you are.

I need to borrow those rose colored goggles of yours sometime.

While fact checking, I found this interesting desire of amfa to stay in the middle for Alaska Air mechanics.
http://amfa14.org/news/AMFA%20Alaska%20Airlines%20Article%2023%20Annual%20Wage%20Review,%202012-10-19.pdf

Even though Alaska is one of the most profitable airlines.

Thought it would be consistent with this subject of amfa failures. This one is the satisfaction at staying just above middle of the road.

AMFA/Alaska Airlines
Article 23 Annual Wage Review Discussions

In accordance with the terms outlined in Article 23, Wage Rules, AMFA and Alaska Airlines met to
discuss the annual pay scale wage review on October 18th at the Hangar in Seattle, Washington. We
started with doing an external review of our all in wage compared to the eight carriers referred to in
the Alaska Contract; the rates were as of October 17th, the day of the Alaska pay rate increase our
technicians received. Here are those all in rates, which includes base pay, license premiums, line
premium, and longevity at the top of each of those scales: (1) Southwest $43.89, (2) United $36.92,
(3) Alaska $36.77, (4) Delta $36.68, (5) JetBlue $36.00, (6) American $32.22, (7) US Airways $31.98,
and (8) Frontier $31.08. With the all in pay rates of the carriers we are compared with, the average all
in rate is $35.54, being our rate is above the $35.54, no additional increase above our 1.5 percent is
required to keep us above mid-point.

You ignore the part of his post asking you to answer me and prove your claims that SWA mechanics received "ZERO improvements" in our 2004 contract extension.

Your M.O. has been to post something you dug up online and then misrepresent what it says or means.
Then you try to spin and lie to cover the trail.
So I will let any Alaska mechanic answer your claims because only they know the real story.

You still have ZERO credibility while you can't prove your claims about our 2004 extension.

Still waiting...........

And you think the POS that was promoted by the TWU will get the mechanics at AA any better in 3 years? At least Alaskas formula uses the Southwest pay rate in the formula.
