Teamsters "raiding" TWU?

TWU Informer, swamt, TSH, you all finally did it to me. I spoke with the Teamsters today and suggested I would be willing to join them officially in this campaign. They seemed a bit reluctant because I am relative unknown. I have good references, so who knows? Maybe I will be knocking at a door near you? Informer, wouldn't that be quite a door step conversation? Bet you cant wait?

I will let you know if they all on me and I do end up on the organizing campaign.

On the subject of the UAL survey, I think ORD is embarrassed by the 2 problems with it in its current form.

1) there is no "Keep DOH" selection, which of course would be the predominate selection on sUAL

2) the survey isn't secure. The control inputs are name and file number, nothing else, which any UAL mechanic can come up with, for any other mechanic.

There were at least two groups I'm aware of here in SFO that were hunched over computer terminals for several hours today with nothing but big cups of coffee and OV crew rosters.

This amateurish polling is just the sort of ridiculous lack of representation the teamsters are known for here at UAL.

Read the f'ing survey. DOH is the main idea. The survey asks if you want something different. If the choice was to breath something other than what we do, would you have to list Oxygen as a choice? Duhhhh.

Come on. The survey is an opinion poll. YOUR union tries to reach out to members and still you complain and find fault?

I didn't find fault in the teamsters reaching out to members....I found fault in how they have and continue to do so.

All these surveys that they put out, 1 - we rarely see actual reports on the results, and 2 - they're completely unreliable because JUST LIKE THIS ONE they're unsecured and thereby tainted.

What good is the opinion when you cant count on it being an accurate reflection of the memberships wishes?

One would think that the teamsters, with the power of i.4 million members, would have the resources to call for a survey from a reputable company with verifiable results.

This is Seniority Integration, something worth a bit more than the amaturish "survey" the ibt is floating.

Good for you.

Of course I, and I'm sure many here already believe you were officially involved.

Just my opinion .... you're a BA despite your claims to the contrary.... and you're not in SFO.

Wow. I am climbing quick... LMOA

One little notice on my consideration to start helping and I get pushed even above Chief Steward.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Quit yer bitchin'

Well now, that really addresses the concerns of a bogus survey that is totally unsecured and therefore completely unreliable... :-/

I would say more it shut the door on stupidity. Nothing the Teamsters do will ever be good enough for some of you. That is your opinion, but why keep going on about it? Sometimes one has to just say "enough already." This was one way of doing just that.

amalama ding dong,

If you would quit posting, the lies and the stupidity would stop.

Of course, you won't stop.....

When do the 15,000 AMFA members that lost their jobs listening to Louie Key and OV get to vote and hold their leadership accountable? Is losing your job and being on unemployment a concession Ken? Nope, that's AMFA fighting...all the way to the unemployment line and shipping those jobs to El Salvador, Korea, and China. SWEET!

Louie Key and O.V. Delle-Femine did not cause the loss of jobs as you attempt to paint here.

Speaking of voting... when does the twu membership, including those at AA that have lost/are going to lose their jobs, going to get to vote for you and the other international appointed officers?

Does this mean you will continue to cowar from behind an alais? You are so moved to support the teamser campaign but remain posting lies from behind a paper bag over your head. Wow! That's beleiving in the teamster cause!

Go AMFA!

Glass houses Ken. Let's not pretend all the amfa believers are putting their names on theses posts. But thanks for the interest in my considerations. I will be sure to let you know what I decide. I might just start out with running for a local shop steward position, but still uncertain.

And when do thousands of AA mechanics stand up as the mechs of NWA took a stand for the AMT's of America? When Overspeed? FREAKIN when? These guys at NWA were not directed by AMFA to stay on strike. They all voted to stay out because NWA company wanted to cut more than 50% of them so they all desided to say, "if they want 50% plus then they can't have all of us." These are true union men and women, not lame freakin pusies like the AA/TWU mechs that caved time and time again to the AA companies concesions for the last freakin 3 decades!!!!
Louie Key and OV in no way shape or form direct the NWA guys what to do. They desided to do it themselves. Unlike what you boys could do yourselves at AA. Get your facts straight Overspeed. This was the most union supported employee group I have ever seen in years. I walked the picket line with all the brothers and sisters at NWA at DFW as well as in other cities. Why because AMFA local 11 more than OVERWHELMINGLY supported them while out on strike. Can you sir, say the same about your freaking "Scab Supporting" teamsters??? #### no!!! You cannot...

Are you talking about these guys swamt??

From one Unionist to another do you think a mechanic who has become an appointed Union official and signs his E-mail like this would cross or honor a picket line? BTW, the TWUs color is green, AMRs colors are Red White and Blue.

No I did not have toast with my coffee..........

What the hell are you talking about Bob??? What does my post have to do with red white and blue? I do not know if a signature title is the deciding consideration for determining who might be willing crossing a picket line, but it seems unlikely.

As a unionist can you agree that if you are going to use the highest degree of self help available and go on strike, your union should be fully prepared for a full and lengthy encounter? amfa went all in on a pair of twos and hoped the company had a worse hand, although every indication was that NWA was completely ready for the battle, and had trained plenty of replacement workers. amfa was simply not ready, nor did they have the resources needed, but they lead their mechanics out any way. The were doomed from the start. Even the President of the United States turned his back on the striking workers, but amfa stubbornly marched on.

swamt posts comments of overwhelming solidarity in the amfa members ranks, but forgets the true definition of a scab. Many amfa members and amfa leaders crossed their own poorly planned picket lines.

He blatantly calls all of you "pussies" but refuses to admit that it was a poor decision to play the hand amfa held. Like amfa, swamt will blame the failed strike on any one but the association leadership, which includes him. He even blames you.
