Teamsters filed at USAir for representation

What amazes me is how most of these unions are the same thing and have blowed and lacked fight, other than the occassional barbie tantrum, yet each has a set of pollyannas that serve it.
The ibt hammering the ua mx betraying promises and splitting the sfo mx up was childish and shows how bad politics reek. Twu might as well buy some heels with that dress, and the iam is just an alias for management but some of us are stuck with it. And amfas leadership arrogance at nwa was appalling. Honestly, there isnt much difference in any of these unions other than the camps that certain sets of mx are divided in.
Im in fleet service and we have problems but not to the embarrassment level of the industry mx who are divided up in so many camps that they fall farther behind where they should be.

I think all of ORD voted IAM. I haven't talked to one person in CLT who voted IAM though.
And just how many of the 900+ mechanic and related in CLT have you talked to or know?

You will see the IAM will prevail and will carry the CLT vote, as the numbers are showing that.

Tim being a simple country boy I had to look that one up. (Pollyanna) (LOL at myself.)

Well said Tim.
Tim the only thing we as AMT's can do is look at track records of what unions have done for it's members and if the union has performed in the best interest of the members and not the Union's as the Union Works For Us and not the other way around.
As you said:( bad politics / alias for management / arrogance / embarrassment level of the industry.
How long do you give a union before a enough is enough?? Do we set back and settle with being the embarrassment of the industry and as you said.( fall farther behind where they should be. ).
What get's me fired up is when someone from another union tell's me to set back and take it because THEY will have a better chance to takeover the members if the union in place stays in place! But knows if it changes it's chances go way down as in the southwest AMFA boys on here looking only to get it's fading membership numbers up. AND THEN LAUGH AT THE MISFORTUNE OF OTHER AMT UNION BROTHERS. The arrogance on here from some of my AMT brothers and there have been more than one on here from AMFA just gets me fired up.
I will tell you this right now! WE WILL NOT TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM LIKE THE NWA BOYS DID AT AMFA.
Tim I like your posts open and to the point as most point out both sides of the coin.
Have A Nice IBT Day.

Sorry you must have me confused with what the ibt makes you do.

I post here of my own free will, with the just the facts, unlike you, who posts and promotes the ibt lies and false promises.

You have UAL mechanics posting the truth on here and you keep ignoring it.

And what do you get out of this as you are a Pollyanna of the IAM..
This country boy learned a new word.................. LOL

I get satisfaction of showing the true lying and false colors of the ibt and its brain washed lackeys.

I have seen the pics of it in LGA, thats where it came from. Your ibt fliers dont mean crap, they arent the facts nor gospel, its what the ibt lied about.

From the IAM:

Dear Mr, Manicone:

This responds to your letter addressed to me, copied to the NMB and US Airways, and linked in a flyer from the IBT Airline Divisions Director, David Bourne. Your letter simply repeats baseless allegations which the IBT has published to IAM members at US Airways.

Your letter mischaracterizes a brief and contentious encounter in a Charlotte hangar at 3:00am between IBT supporter Jim Blanton and IAM official Will Cashion, which neither you nor I witnessed. However, the language used in your letter belies the reliability of the report you recieved- "Cashion should know... Cashion admitted as much... Cashion acknowledged..." The facts is that Cashion did not say the things that your letter attributes to him, or implies that he said.

Finally, I note that your letter has been published on the IBT website as an obvious propaganda piece in support of the IBT campaign, and as such does not merit further response.

Very truly yours,
David Neigus

JMO, but it appears both sides, ibt and IAM are just campaigning and using these propagandas to gain support from the membership during the voting process of the election at US. The two unions are the same in one, however, it would benefit the US membership to just stay with their current representation rather than to bring the teamsters in. The teamsters are worse than what you guys currently have and you will pay more than 2.5X's base to have them misrepresent you guys. I see another election coming to you guys in the near future, stay IAM and wait it out.

Well, the IAM truly sucks balls and I say that as a member. It's terrible and is part of the system of corporate greed. It benefits my fragile IAM pension if the US AIRWAYS MX keep the IAM so I suppose I'm biased that they keep it (Sorry not interested in any more pension letters whacking my pension even more). But the representation blows and the IAM hasn't done one damn thing to make it wrong for someone to vote against them.
