How can you tell the ibt is lying?

Their mouths are moving.

How about this?

Travis and Cactus are the only two on this forum that are pushing hard for the Teamsters. There are more posters here against the Teamsters and are neutral. If that is any indication on how the vote will go the Teamsters will lose.

You AMFA supporters have done nothing but used the IAM smear campaign for your information and it makes you look bad.......
You say the AMFA has all this money in the BANK so what do you pay in DUE's ALL just under 3000 of you.
I know AMFA has a AX to grind with the IBT as they have taken most of your members from you but that's for another day.
I posted the Q&A information In BLACK AND WHITE PRINT. You LIED you used the IAM smear info.
I was going to post the Constitution information but was beat to the post by (enough already) that showed the flat out LIE by BOTH AMFA and IAM supporters on here.
The Constitution is on line and the Q&A is on line.........I DID NOT LIE.

Have A Nice IBT Day!!
Travis you need to read and comprehend my post. I know what it says about the amount of dues that teamster members are suppose to pay. But it differs from what they actually pay. Trust me, we have had long and loud meetings with the teamsters about this issue in depth and they just never could explain why our dues were more than what the constitution claims they are. Now to answer your questions; AMFA members pay 2.0X's base rate, and base rate only. I did not use anything from the IAM (I think you are confusing me with someone else) I am giving you FIRST HAND experiences that we had to deal with when we were teamsters, I have not once copied or posted anything the IAM is using, period. Travis, do a little homework if you will. Research back to your AW paychecks, pull one up and do the math, take your base rate of pay times the 2.0 or 2.5 unit (whatever was used at that time) and see if they add up. I am sure you will see the amounts you were paying back then were more. I know for a fact here at SWA they were including other premiums such as shift diff, longevity and at one time they were including lic pay until we got that changed before our contract of 04. Again Travis, we all know what the teamsters claim they use for dues calculations. And some of us that were teamsters also know that they will pull more than what they claim, been there done that, and personally experienced it as all the members did at SWA while the teamsters were here.

This forum is not account for all of the US Airways mechanics. We are roughly 4000. Honestly how many US Airways mechanics are on this forum, maybe 10 guys. It wasn't just Travis and I that signed the cards to file for an election. The guys want a change and its happening like it or not. Over 2000 mechanics signed those cards and The IAM is showing fear. IAM guys are at my shop once a week with there bs presentations to convince the guys to vote IAM. If IAM is thinking like you guys that Teamsters have no shot then why are they campaigning and harassing guys in the parking lots as they exit and why are they calling mechanics at home and harassing the guys in the shop. I see fear in the IAM. Just 2 months ago IAM was at AA campaigning and didn't get as a big response as they hoped for and then they came out with The Association IAM\TWU. I don't care what you guys say on this board. It means nothing. I am telling you both IAM and TWU are scared that's what I see, feel and hear.

Most don't want to deal with the BS you get when you post from A INTERNET WATCH DOG FROM THE IAM OR AMFA ORGANIZERS.
WE ARE THE ONES WHO WILL STAND UP AND POST BACK AND MORE THAN LIKELY WE ARE THE ONES YOU WILL SEE AT UNION MEETINGS OR WE TAKE THE TIME TO GET INVOLVED IN UNION MATTERS AND VOTES.
As I see it the POLL has at least 11 for IBT/ 3 for IAM & TWU / and 12 AMFA ( IMHO most from AA and SWA who don't count!!! LOL )

HAVE A HAPPY IBT DAY MY BROTHERS!!

First of all Total Mechanic and Related are 3489 according to the Fact Sheets on USAirways.com. Some of those are Stock Clerks who will not be represented by the IBT. The IBT doesn't want them under the umbrella. There were at one time were over 6200 Mechanics at USAir alone, plus Utility etc, etc prior to America West and 9/11. There are still 3544 Mechanics on the seniority list that I believe still have recall rights. About 2700-2800 of which are working. Since the others have lifetime recall rights under the IAM (I'm sure that will be lost with the IBT) they have a say in the future of all the full time workers presently working whether they ever decide to return or not. Personally if I have recall rights why would I ever vote IBT? If they do they are basically shooting themselves in the foot. Something to think about. I'm sure the IBT didn't notify them of that potential threat of removal.

As cactUSmx said and I quote:WE ARE ROUGHLY 4000. This is something 700 would nitpick????....

The IBT has said they will keep life time recall rights!
Call 1-800-786-9627 IBT Fresh Start Campaign.

I would look it up for you but and post a link But it would do no good as you are just on here to try to cause Mislead, twist, and half truths so why waste my time.
I did give the free number for those who really want to know!

HAVE A NICE IBT DAY!
VOTE IBT!!

I see you keep ignoring all the broken promises at UA that the ibt has done.

Its track record speaks for itself.

But they dont have a pension.

They dont have a single JCBA.

Most of them cant even participate in their own local as they are hundreds of miles away.

Doesn't the IAM have AGCs covering stations for UA and US that are hundreds if not thousands of miles away?

The DL negotiates and enforces the CBA, couldn't the same be said about IAM district lodge? What about all the IAM members in locals with corrupt and unaccountable leadership? LL 2339N comes to mind, ask any NTA EWR F/A about the IAM, they are happier under AFA.

And they still do not have the "industry leading" contract that the teamsters promised them during the card drive at UAL. Just like they are promising the US guys if they were to vote them in. Promises after promises and never coming thru with them, typical teamster propaganda to get votes. You guys will be sorry if you go with the teamsters, guaranteed...

Nope, they all have offices in the cities they represent, and we have monthly union meetings in each location where they are represented.

Once again you lie, the IAM removed the officers in question at 2339N and took the local over in trusteeship and some of the former members were charged under the law.

One doesn't need to be in the same city that the local is based in, so long as there are monthly meetings in station. I didn't see any advantage to having a local in every city, especially when you're in a local dominated by ramp and customer service. Not sure how the Ibt does it, and I'm not endorsing them
