And I'm done with the back and forth bickering on Social Media pages and with my coworkers. I can say over and over and over if people don't like it that there are far more non union jobs to chose from in the US then there are union jobs. But I know that not a soul on here or who I work with will ever apply for one of them. So I'm done with the arguments. Posting the stats. Posting the stories. The whole lot of it.AANOTOK said:And I will take a Union over a conglomerate like the one we currently have representing us right now.
If you really look at it, we may not be "at will" employees, but we damn sure are at will members...lol
I'm not arguing union v non-union. I merely pointed out the factual inaccuracies you posted. No need to post non-factual info to argue that union membership is your preference.WeAAsles said:Doesn't matter to me. I'll still take a contract and a Union over being at will, any day of the year.
That's the thing "I" prefer.
Tell ya what W, since you made that commitment, I will do the same. I feel comfortable in my belief and I was and continue to be against, not unions and unionism, but the Association. It is a farce...OK, I'm done.WeAAsles said:And I'm done with the back and forth bickering on Social Media pages and with my coworkers. Starting with the new year I'm learning golf. Expensive sport. Glad I can afford it.
Acronyms stenciled on a door is all any of them are if people don't support it. Always has been that way.FWAAA said:I'm not arguing union v non-union. In a few months I'm going to be making 65k base. If I take CC make that 70k base. Add maybe 20k onto that for all the benefits and honestly you'll never hear even the slightest complaint out of me for what you call a farse.AANOTOK said:Tell ya what W, since you made that commitment, I will do the same. You do know that Mark Twain once described golf as "a good walk spoiled."WeAAsles said:And I'm done with the back and forth bickering on Social Media pages and with my coworkers. I used to play golf. Then I received a letter from the PGA asking me if I'd please stop.jimntx said:You do know that Mark Twain once described golf as "a good walk spoiled."
I love Costa Rica, but I'm not sure I could ever deal with their idea of addresses. I go to a dental specialist in San Jose (he trained in the U.S., used to be on the faculty at U of Miami dental school) because for dental implants, he charges less than a third what my estimates were in Dallas. His office address (and I'm not kidding) is "300 meters north of McDonald's in Escasu." My hotel address in San Jose is "100 meters north of ICE." ICE is the national electrical engineering school. There are no street addresses.WeAAsles said:In a few months I'm going to be making 65k base. If I take CC make that 70k base. Even thinking about visiting Costa Rica and Belize next year. Probably opt for a nice laid back retirement option in 10 to 12 more years?
PBS was in your Lbo and the CLA . AA was getting pbs wether there was a merger or not!IORFA said:PBS system came from USAirways and Mike Flores. Blame him if you don't like it!
Have you ever read our contract??? How much is your persur pay, what are your duty rigs ? Pay protections for trip cancellations? What is your overwater pay? Vacation acural and pay. How bout your great reserve rules??? When scheduling screws up is there penalty pay!!! The list goes on . I'll take an guaranteed JCBA anyday!!!Black Magic said:Spare me the excuses. That's all I hear from the IAM/TWU nowadays, you guys just reach into the barrell and pull out your fav excuse how it sees fit. Meanwhile Delta employees are seeing the highest pay RIGHT now! Not after such and such date or meeting on and on..... And don't forget delta will trump any contract put in place for the AA workgroups this year immediately and there after. Everyone enjoy your 5 year plus contracts because now your locked in and thats all your going to get!
I know, thanks for informing me of what I already knew and voted for. I also stated that in a previous post. Again, thanks for summarizing what I already said. Appreciate it. To state previous facts again, the ACTUAL system we are using and going to use is the USAir system and it was designed by Mike Flores. So if people don't like it, complain to him.diamondcutter said:PBS was in your Lbo and the CLA . AA was getting pbs wether there was a merger or not!
Flores will get his fair share of flame.IORFA said:I know, thanks for informing me of what I already knew and voted for. I also stated that in a previous post. Again, thanks for summarizing what I already said. Appreciate it.
IORFA said:You know, the ones that cheapened everything at AA.
