I have to disagree. Why shouldn't M. E. have his days off moved? And why should he not be able to fly ETB on his "moved" days??
First off, he was needed in the Union office M-F every week. That is when USAirways management is in the office. Termination meetings etc... that require UNION REPRESENTATION happen M-F, not on Sunday afternoons or Saturday mornings.
Now, with that said, he WOULD HAVE TO HAVE WEEKENDS OFF! It's simple, really! So I fail to see why a few bitter reserves on here have such an issue with him flying to London or whatever on Friday night! Big deal!
And so what if his LTO kept going up? If he is getting 5+00 a day from the AFA, then his LTO would go up! So M-F is 5 days. 5days x 5 hours a day =25. 25 hours a week x 4 weeks in a month is 100 hours! There! I did the math! If you can show me where he was collecting this FPL and NOT in the office 5 days a week, then there is the problem. Otherwise, who cares? This guy did lots of hard work on behalf of ALL F/A's. Have you called AFA70 lately and tried to get something clarified, or ask a question, since TG and ME are out of the office? My point exactly.
There are a few "upset" reserves on here who say ME was on "easy street" collecting his FPL, flying ETB, ad sittin' back doin' nothin'. 100% WRONG. He worked incredibly hard. They are upset because they have to sit around in their crash pads, collecting 73 hours, and not flying. I know it sucks, I am in the same boat. But what I don't understand is why they are chanelling their anger towards ME, when they voted in the contract in the first place?
🙄
And one more thing, if you are so up in arms about ME, why are you not upset about these 3 "Product Specialists" we have walking around PHL? Are they allowed to pick their schedules? Do they get Space Positive back and forth to wherever they live? How many hours are THEY claiming??? What do they really do for us? What is their "specialty?" That should keep those of you who are jealous of ME busy for awhile..... Let us know what you find out.....
Thank you.
