You are not correct in your blanket statement. That would mean that when you are off duty out with your friends and those in an establishement who know you work for an airline, that if you act drunk or give the apprearance of being drunk and perhpas others (subjectively) impose their judgement on you and report it to their surpervisor, you could be terminated???

One example comes to mind that captured much media attention publically for 5 years, and that many times, often times, deliberately calculating, purposely, and with forethought, did not present USAirways mangament at USAirways in the best light on behalf of her members and was told by management, senior execs, CEO repeatedly to stop, ... yup, the former AFA LECP of PIT/MECP.

And with an attitude of blatant defiance...
Exactly... You are not correct, Lovey. Shocking, huh?.....

Thank you for all your hard work, TG. We appreciate it.

Anyone notice that all the bases sent out E lines regarding prescription info, etc...? Nothing from LEC70, except the MEC E-line. That would be because the LECVP and the RSV Chair are no longer in the office. One would think the LECP in PHL would be sending info out left and right, and keeping in touch with the membership, especially now.... Nope!

That website couldn't be up and running quick enough. It's amazing how quiet things have become huh? Not many you will find that are defending the queen either. Amazing....truly AMAZING! ! ! ! Just where is our LECP anyway? Anyone know? Maybe if she were in a red and white striped shirt we might find her among the crowd. Thanks for all the hard work you do PRESIDENT. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock....like sand through the hour glass the time is running out. Word is FINALLY spreading about what is going on and the website will only fuel it further.... YES.

The flight attendants who were recalling our Pres in phx had a website too. It is a really good tool to get out the information. I wish you guys and gals all the luck.

Hmmmm, an interesting take on duties and responsibilities....

So a union officer/rep, being an employee, must promote the company's interests at all times. Seems like a perfect case of violating their DFR responsibilities since they're elected to promote their member's interests.

Does say volumns about what kind of union officer/rep you prefer, though.....

Jim

Couldn't have said it any better Boeingboy! It shoud really make people start to THINK!!

I WONDER WHAT LA COMPANY TIME AND ETB TIME IS RUNNING FOR THE MONTH OF AUG? HOW MUCH TIME IS SHE PUTTING INTO HER DUTIES AT PREZ... HUMMMM....

Great job on the RIDE... snt some $ to u.
have fun!

a break from the tread for a moment.....

Thank you for your support for Paradise Ride Kauai, dcflyguy. I didn't participate, just tried to raise funds on Isaiah's behalf. My friend Sueyen Oritz former manager of HA Inflight and her husband Billy rode. Sueyen is the woman in the picture with Isaiah (my angel). Sueyen went back to the line shortly after I lost Isaiah so that she would have more time to devote to fund raising. We appreciate your support.

Ok...now back to the topic at hand....

ah, 5 days a week in the office and "on call" every weekend...for any member that called all over the system was the schedule for 5 years.

Can you, or any member dispute that?

Was your schedule posted on your website, PITBUll, alongside images of your paystubs for all to see?. I mean if you feel that it is appropriate for others to do it, I thought maybe you were speaking of something that you yourself had done in in the past. Just asking.

I think it appropriate if credibility and integrity is in question by the members in the base.

The former LECP PIT rep schedule was in newsletters that were stuffed in mailboxes.

The former MECP of 2005 sent an e-mail out every single week to the MEC not only to let them know her schedule, but to inform them of what meetings or projects she would be working on that week. Also, every Friday, she was at the Local PIT office to relieve the VP.

The former MECP demanded that schedule from all the MEC officers...some resisted, case in point, Leslie Miller, then MEC Sec/Treas who resigned by mid Feb., because she didn't want to show up according to the policy and procedure set forth...and rather wanted to work from home as her previous administration (Perry) did.

There is a USAirways MEC Policy and Procedure that dictates that the MEC officers submit their monthly schedules and are in the MEC office at least 4 days a week. The former MECP inforced this.

The present MECP does not, nor did any prior MECP before Teddy.

Thank you for answering part of my question. You did keep the PIT f/a's well informed. And you were a damn good negotiator, cant take that away from you.

Enjoying your retirement?

LOL...not retired yet, my friend. Not even in my 50's yet.

It's a VFLR.

My new job is great definitely less stressful, and rewarding! Just isn't quite as challenging as my previous.

But, I still hear from the group often.
