Yes, we do rely on her. For very good reason. I would assume that spell checking and grammar checking herself on a board that is rife with misinformation and general inaccuracy is not her first priority. This is pure entertainment, nothing more.... She is well spoken at meetings and on the aircraft, and gets the job done. Otherwise, I doubt that she would have been voted into office in the first place.

Go back and look at the VP's posts. She appears to be intoxicated throughout this topic. Now if that is what you feel we deserve as our representative and if you believe that the company respects someone who will get on a public forum and post with that appearance you are not as smart as I thought you were.

I see that. I do not really think she is taking this board very seriously, and thus, does not "check her work". Why should she? She is just firing back at all of the inaccuracies and false accusations on here, and I would presume she really is not too worried about what the few people attacking her on here think about her.

I am available at the airport and my paycheck and paystubs are available to whomever see's me at the airport. I know many of you have already formed an opinion of me but I ask for the meeting to be held and once again I am not allowed to use the AFA e-line to trash individuals so when you see me ask for my paycheck...........Please Phl I have 450 signatures don't let yourselves be done in..........

Terry, as PHL LEC VP is the only member in base who is trying to solicit names to have the International call a Special Meeting of the membership. She needs 30% of the names and signatures of active members in base to fullfill the Constitution and provide the members a special meeting.

To accomplish this is quite an endeavor. You should give her that much credit for taking HER time to sit at the airport, get the signatures so that your voices can he heard. It is NOT up to the International. Even if charges against Laura stick, only the members of the base can recall her. You need a "special meeting" to do so.

I haven't seen one other person, or heard of anyone else doing this but her. You folks on this board complain a lot about your representation, but none of you have taken any action to assist her,or do it on your own if its really a major concern. Laura was voted in last year by a mere 287 total votes. There were over 2,200 active members in that base, if you can imagine. Who is to blame here?

To date, Laura has not retracted her statement in her E-line where she insediously snuck in that she received permission to add her vacation to her 105 International flight time in July of 2005. Basically, she is saying that the (then) MECP gave her permission to not only take the vacation pay from union dues $$ of her base, but allowed her to violate the contract and "over fly" and exceed company paid time. The conversation NEVER ocurred between the MECP of 2005 and this LECP. The permission to get paid out vacation or bank it comes only from the AFA International Sec/Treas for extenuating circumstances. She submitted the 105 International pay that month on her own, and of course, the company paid out the vacation that was scheduled in the computer. The MECP does not control the LECPs flight pay loss submission, or their vacation. The LECP submit their pay sheets for all the officers and volunteers in their respective bases to the MEC Sec/Treas and it is then submitted to the company.

The most odd thing about her implication is that she was attempting a "recall" of the MECP that she claims she had this "so called" discussion with since as early as June of 2005, while trying her darndest to muster support from the entire MEC. Where she got the delusion that the MECP would have a private conversation with her on "over flying" and being cmpensated over and beyond 105 International pay that July, is beyond comprehension. She must have figured no one would actually notice and skim over it in her E-line...certainly not the ex MECP. As simple as this issue may seem, its the most recent example of her exaggerations and "control" she is capable of...rather than simply stating the truth; not placing blame on someone else.

Ultimately, its the LECP who is responsible for the representation of the base. If by majority, you are not happy and your faith has deminished, the blame sits at her door.

Actually, it is you, the average FA, who, demanding communication skills, by the fact you cannot even pick up a telephone and call to find out what is going on, demonstrates your complete incompetence to be a human. Not that that seems to be a precondition to being a FA at USAirways. In fact, I bet management just loves marginal trainees like you. Take pockshots from the gallery yet never engage in the actual action. I bet that after a video game of shoot'em and war, while smoking your cigarette you just love to send your neighbors kids to Iraq. Go get 'em, killer! You can smother them with your folds of fat.
