New Call Sign

now i am going to have to look at the tail number to figure out who the goofs with their stupid USAPA=SCAB stickers are. You people who in Philly ask ramp 16 times to push when the alley is full and youve been told twice that you are number 4 to push and its going to be awhile.

I didn't hear anything about them shuffling their flight numbers... Shouldn't pose too much of a problem.

I always thought it was stupid for US Airways flight 1 being between Phoenix and Chicago. Usually, most carriers reserve the lower numbers for their more popular international routes...

It makes sense to me. Flight numero uno between the headquarters of the crummiest airline in America to the headquarters of the second crummiest airline in America.

PRACTICE CACTUS

Sept 1 will be an interesting day - especially in places like Filly and Car-lot.

Too bad I'll be on vacation again........

Apropos of nothing, US (East) 1 was PIT-LAX for some time.

Seriously though......

It is just a little sad to be approaching the sunset of the callsign USAir.

But it is an inevitable step (albeit minor) in the process; and we all knew it was coming eventually.

I still remember the day that the callsign switched from "Allegheny" to "USAir".

It was driving both the pilots and the air traffic controllers nuts, because the flights were still tagged "AL" on the ATC radar screens.
