First of all, the new American will have to paint one aircraft in historic TWA livery ... even better would be one each in the last three paint schemes.
 
Aside from that, the new American will face a lot of operating nightmares, and introducing yet another branding would not be helpful. I got the impression that dog Parker is not particularly fond of the new AA livery, and I would bet that it will not stay around as long as the previous one. But the introduction of a new one should be deferred until the integration process is complete.

Oh, I would say DP had a say in the new livery all along.

The 757 retro was repainted many years back. The 737 still flies in retro colors.

I agree. I meant I do not like to see an American Airlines aircraft dirty as a point of pride for the brand.

Looks wAAy better than the garbage ol' $17 million Horton bestowed on us as he was kicked to the curb. However, still doesn't look right. The US colors don't mesh with the greyhound logo. One of the 2 needs to change. Plus it is a lazy way to come up with a new livery, ala United/Continental. Theirs looks ridiculous. Like someone in the paint shop was being funny. It always reminds me of that Snickers commercial with the guy painting the endzone and he paints Chefs, instead of Chiefs. Just start with the garish tail and continue to the nose of the plane. It all needs to be fixed!

I think it would be great to remove the grey flag on the tail and replace it with some variation of the legacy AA-Eagle logo.  I really think giving up on that logo is a big mistake.  Put the Greyhoud logo near the front, but the tail should be reserved for the legacy AA.
 
Maybe we can get the same Photoshop wizard to make that change on the picture.

I agree. The Eagle needs to come back and for gods sake, put something on the winglets! They look terrible all gray. This crazy British company did a terrible job on the livery and logo. Just as bad as the BA heritage tails they did in the past.

Thanks to ChockJockey for the Photoshopped images.  I really like this one (at least as the interim livery for the US airplanes), but with the eagle in white.
