It was sad to see all the equipment being moved out after the auctions last week. What are the odds we will be buying replacements later. I heard they made over 4 million in CLT. The offsite is being emptied. Anyone here on the QEC work being brought to the CLT offsite. We still have the overhead hoist and plenty of room?

Yes, the FAB shop is being shut down in PIT. All of the facilities in PIT Mtc are on month to month leases. (very expensive) I am hearing that the work is going to be sent to CLT however Tempe might farm out the work, it is not protected by any labor contracts.

Look for the systematic disposal of the entire Mtc operation in PIT over the next 18 mos.

Its not piss and vinegar folks, its fact.

All of US heavy checks will not be outsourced, the company tried to accomplish that and lost in court then arbitration.

Can you say the same about the IBT HP contract?

Oh wait, you all ready outsource everything and have not been able to bring the heavy checks in-house for the past 10 years.

40 planes is not the whole fleet there are still airbus and 737s to be overhauled and once the NMB grants single carrier status and the IAM is certified, US will be forced to bring in-house all of HP's former A320 Family in-house as well as 50% of their 737s.

And if I was on a gravy train, why am I still working 40 hours a week at US?

HA HA HA HA.. You must be joking!!

Do you think DP wants to bring in house any of the AWA 737's or A320's? Have you taken a stupid pill??

You can take that contract and wipe your butt with it. DP and the team have no intention of ramping up the cost of doing all that work under roof.. No way, no how, never going to happen..

There is no guarantee that the IAM will win anything. If its put to a vote you could very easily see the IAM get voted out.. Wake up..

Say what you want but the dream of DP brining in all that work, never gonna happen. The contract is filled with holes.. You know it and so does DP.

Oh and watch out. DP means something else beside the CEO's name!!!

Air Canada secured the work that US previously sent to ST MAE.

For the 20th time US does all the A320 family overhaul in-house and 50% of the 737s, vendored out is all the A330, B757/767 and the remaining 50% of the 737s.

It took two bankruptcies and three rounds of concessions for US to be able to outsource the work.

Can't say the same about the IBT contract because for the past 10 years the IBT has not been able to secure any heavy maintenance.

The company reaffirmed the IAM concessionary contract and US is no longer in Bankruptcy, so the judge has no say in the matter.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

IF all of the small Airbus and 43.5 737 aircraft work would say in house it will be done in CLT and PHX. Pitt will do some line work and a very small goup at that.

Also the reason the IBT has not been able to get heavy back is because they are under negociation for the first time.
