The clowns that are running this airline are going to ask the judge to continue with the outsourcing of the airbus.

Won't it be cheaper to do the work in-house after these next cuts, or is the company just Hell-bent on outsourcing???

The clowns are running the circus and it's so messed up that their only hope is to have the employees pay for their incompetence. It' pretty clear by his words and actions that Lakefield never held any hope of employee "negotiations." He wanted and needs the whole enchillada just to keep breathing for a few more months. He' throwing the dice tomorrow to see if the courts will abrogate the rights of employees and hand him carte blanche. The sad part is, not even that can save a company that has been so poorly lead and strategically managed for so many years, and whose morale has been mortally wounded.

The company willfully violated their contract with the mechs and got caught red-handed, and now they want to blame the IAM for the situation they're in today. The latest attitude is, "Screw 'em, it doesn't matter anyway, we'll just get the courts to abrogate their contract."

Honor and good faith isn't a common value at CCY, it would seem.

Winglet, There will be no contracts abrogated tomorrow. The judge will be dealing with emergency relief. Which means temporary pay cuts and whatever the judge sees fit within the boundries of Section 1113e.

Ok, you're right . . . . . it's a temporary abrogation, suspension, change, or whatever wording you want to use . . . but it IS reneging on contractal obligations that was signed in good faith by employees and IAW the laws of the land.

Winglet, Yes Sir,..... You're exactly right. ........I agree with you 100%.......I would like to see Judge Mitchell take a long hard look at this companies actions and inactions since the first bankrupcy filing that he presided over..It would be great if he would put politics aside and base his ruling only on the case before him. Time will Tell.
