Industrial vs. Craft

Well now that a labor fight is going on within the airlines property...there will be no need for the airline to give anything to the union or its members. But they will make sure you have access to everything you need for the flight to continue.

With the TWU, there has been a labor fight going since 1983,

B-Scale vs A-Scale
C-Scale vs D-Scale
Unlicensed vs Licensed
SRP vs Mechanic
Line vs Overhaul
TWA vs AA
Republicans vs Democrats
Skilled vs Unskilled

on and on and on

Dude were in Bankruptcy normal rules don't apply, it's not like were going to be able to go on strike or something, not in Bankruptcy were not.

hey even I remember some of that, was with american in 86 at $10.10 an hour. stayed for a year and went back to a cargo airline for more then 16 an hour.

Now don't jump on me.... it was a non-union cargo airline..............................I have never been a teamster

amfa who? Just ask the average BLUE COLLAR WORKER on the street if they have ever heard of amfa? I bet that at least 70% of the BLUE COLLAR WORKERS over 30 years old have heard of the IBT. This issue alone makes amfa a Little League "union" when compared to the MAJOR LEAGUE IBT.

Well I'm supporting the guys in my area, they want the Teamsters, Union people think Union people should stick together so i'm trying to do that for them ..... it's not easy & It's not for me trust me.
Wait a minute. Those in your area comprise your shop. I visited the CAM building and was told that most are AMFA supporters over the Teamsters.

Video from the Teamsters .... I believe him.

This would be a good time to remind folks of the other video. Fred Gegare ran against Mr Bournes' boss James Hoffa Jr.

The trend that appears with these Industrial Unions is that they load all bets on one horse in the race, TWU has TUL and IBT(Teamsters) has UPS and beat that pony until it has no more to give. Just as we're witnessing change in TUL, the good times seem to be of the past, the point of the Gegare video should not be overlooked. Starting at the 2:20 mark of the video, Fred explains how in the effort to unionize a division in the trucking industry, Overnight Freight, a deal was allegedly made with UPS to allow them to no longer participate in the Central States Pension Fund. This is one of Funds his father had founded in the 50's for the hard working men and women in the trucking industry. This deal which appears Hoffa was determined to add to his legacy, in one fell swoop allowed UPS to withdraw any further obligation($500Mil/Yr) to Central States which put in jeopardy the solvency of thousands of Teamster members pensions.

LOL you must have went to a different Cam building come by on day shift when the masses are here & I will take you around & introduce you & you can ask yourself who they support while I'm standing there, As I pointed out I haven't been on afternoon shift for 20 years so don't have a clue what goes on then, My shop hasn't had an afternoon shift for 17 years, I don't know if the CSD shop has an afternoon shift, you can come by on days or just keep believing what you believe, After meeting you I have a very hard time believing that your running around everyday soliciting AMFA cards on your lunch & breaks Buck, the cards won't come unless someone works their ass off to solicit them. B)

Funny some that are wanting to get rid of TWU but are uninformed to the basic questions regarding union representation might support the IBT,

But those that are currently represented by the IBT and know details about union representation will share their IBT experiences with you

Take him up on his offer Buck.

Ask any of his friends simple and basic questions about union representation or what his friends even know about the ibt.

Their responses will amaze you!!

I did it and learned all I need to know in less than 5 minutes.

It is the perfect example of the blind leading the blind.

None of them want to be leaders.
None of them know anything about Labor Law
None of them know anything about the NMB
None of them know anything about any Union Constitutions

All they know is they hate the TWU, and would jump off of a cliff to change unions.

One guy damn near started foaming at the mouth but would or probabaly could not answer or discuss the issues.

Head buried deep.

Raptorman complains about being civil yet all of his ibt followers are anything but when you talk with them, or should I say try to talk with them.

Good Luck Buck
