Industrial vs. Craft

Don't believe the bull from the AMFA supporters. AMFA is allowed to exist at the airline level by the airlines so they have a means to control you "the AMT" and if you think you have any power with them. Then flex your professional power and go on "STRIKE". Or at least try to, then you will see how democratic they are......

And just what have the other industrial unions done? When was the last time any of them struck? Funny thing here is, whether a teamster or AMFA supporter, most AA mechanics I've engaged with agree that AA management controls the TWU.

Never mind the obvious flaw in your so-called logic.... if AMFA was so easily controlled why did NWA go to such lengths to break them?

Thats where we disagree.

I don't view pointing out your inability to address basic valid concerns as a waste of time.

You've made it clear you're collecting cards, and while you obviously have no problem being lied to by the teamsters in exchange for simple trinkets, I'm hoping that other, more discerning, mechanics will take note of this and reject the teamsters propaganda.

Yes the Teamsters have given out buttons etc. As a way for supporters to #1 show support & #2 help organizers/ supporters Identify each other for the purpose of collaboration & the Teamsters haven't told me anything yet as I haven't had any questions or needed any impute from them so far.
At present I think they are focusing on angry Mechanics who sign cards without needing information at some point when the easy cards slow down I'm sure they will focus on the harder cards, I don't know nor do I care because I'm not running the drive, if you have questions ask them, I don't have the answers to them.
BTW I haven't asked anyone to sign cards they asked me to deliver cards & pick them up so I did, doesn't bother me what Union they choose.

It should bother you. The Teamsters are rearing their heads at the request of the TWU to dilute a potential AMFA election.

Isn't it funny how the TWU/IBT went from a "no raid" deal to a "TWU ASKS THE IBT TO PROFFER THEMSELVES FOR AN ELECTION" deal?

I'm fine with whatever the majority wants, that's what a democracy is, neither Union will be able to do anything for me with a 6 year contract so sign your card or cards of choice & then we will vote if we get there, either way the world will keep turning.

Hey raptorman,

In my years at AA I saw a lot of two faced guys.

You are the first 3 faced guy that I have ever seen.

No matter which union wins, you will be able to say that you supported them.
(at least once!)

Now that there is funny.

Well that's true for AMFA & the Teamsters, I don't know what the third would be, I've never supported the TWU, I pay the Union for decent contracts, any Union that can manage that & there doing what I pay them for.
I'm betting there are more people who signed both cards than there are people who signed only one card, meaning the Majority of card signers are flexible and not Fanatical.

There is blame on both sides.

But how do you on strike with no strike fund?

That is stupid.
