Industrial vs. Craft

I have never been to TUL, but as far as what I am getting, the major support you are seeing is in one particular building ( cam building). Does this building hold the majority of people?

It is not as one-sided or as major as he thinks.
He didn't turn in the stack of signed AMFA cards from the cam building, but I did.

He has to see slogans or t-shirts because that is what the TWU trained him to look for.
No clue!

People in Union's are followers their like sheep looking for what direction the herd is going that's where the T-shirts & buttons come in the more the followers see the more they know what direction the herd is going in so they can follow, It seems the Teamsters get that which is why they are supplying lots of Buttons, Lanyards & soon shirts .... It does make a difference & if AMFA organizers don't see that & do the same thing then that will be one more reason why they won't get enough cards, your not running the AMFA Campaign Don & that's a good thing because if you don't get that visuals matter the AMFA drive really would be in trouble.

Oh & you are the one who said you were trained by the TWU years ago, I am the one who said I have never had much to do with the TWU but pay my dues, I'm not a Union Man remember so I don't get involved with it ..... just Pay my dues and complain about their BS.

Whoop Unions love to say we can do that when they screw you or we can't do that when you want something & their all corrupt as hell which is why I'm not a Union Man ..... I'm a Man in a Union, I will never be excited about ANY Union & I'm pretty excited about retiring & never being involved with Union's again, America is losing more Union's every year & has been for quite sometime, most people I run into in my day to day activities who are not Union are glad they aren't in a Union & don't have good things to say about them.

I would word it a little different.

Most INDUSTRIAL unions lie and deceive. I have been a craft union supporter for a long time now, and have NEVER heard of one false promise by AMFA.

If you look at most craft unions, their members are VERY happy. Plumbers, Longshoremen, Electricians etc. They do not have splinter groups within them trying to change their undemocratic ways like the ibt and twu do.

You see, I have been around craft unions since childhood, I know a thing or two. Everybody represents their own interests.

The reason you do not like unions is you have been in industrial unionism for so long. Unions like the twu and ibt are so corrupt, they turn people against unions. You will never hear a plumber say he hates union, or an elevator mechanic say he hates unions, or a sheetmetal worker say he hates unions. WHY? They all belong to craft unions that concentrate on one thing.

So again, by your own admission, industrial unionism makes you dislike unions, why be a cheerleader for the ibt and not try something different, like craft unionism?

You seem to forget that while you were busy whimpering that the AMFA drive was not going your way, we were busy getting cards signed and file them with the NMB.

You have no clue who is running what because you are not invovled.

You stick to the whimpering and leave the AMFA organizing to those of us that have a plan.
Right now we don't have one of those "I" or "Me" drives going, it is "Us" and "We".....something you know nothing about. But go ahead and make stabs at us, if it makes you feel better, we are good with it.

Maybe a little more of you promising that Teamsters Pension that you know of no details about would help us get a few more cards next week?

LOL, with the teamsters he will barely even get T-shirts.

Well Buck I have been actually collecting AMFA cards not many only about 5 or 6 while I was collecting Teamster cards almost a 100 of them,

Oh and I didn't say they outnumber AMFA supporters 20 to 1 you said that, I don't really know the actual percentage as I'm not part of the AMFA drive.

5 AMFA cards to 100 IBT cards would be 20 to 1. 6 to 1 a little less of course.

Thanks for your answer but I still find those numbers hard to believe and I think throughout the system that the opposite would be the case. Especially at AFW.

Whoop United just elected the Teamsters & through out AMFA the reason why they did it is irrelevant what matters is the Majority wanted the Teamsters over AMFA, that also happened at Horizon & other places so apparently not everyone prefers a craft Union over an Industrial Union, I don't really care what most people want I just want to try something different than the TWU whether that be Teamsters, AMFA or IAM is fine with me it's a matter of whether any of them can get enough cards and so far the question to that is they haven't & probably won't so just playing the odds more than likely were going to be stuck with the TWU.
I'm pretty that if AMFA were to get in at AA I would find something I didn't like about them too, Unions in General are a pain in the A$$

I'm not much of a Team player which is why i'm got a good fit in a Union but it is what it is, trust me nothing that is said on this forum is going to help anybody with any causes, I'm a nobody in the whole Teamsters scheme things just as you are in the AMFA drive.

I am not soliciting AMFA cards they were offered to me while I was collecting Teamster cards, the 6 AMFA cards were from people who signed both a AMFA & a Teamster card.

Funny, I was thinking the same way. He admits he hates unions and not a team player, yet is pushing the teamsters.

PERFECT FIT!!!!!

Listen carefully everyone, this is your teamster leadership talking.

Dude your the one who says he wants to lead but is not an current officer in a Union where it's easy to become an officer, we have a fleet service clerk as our president here in Tulsa & fleet service is a minority here because no one wants to be an Officer, so if you want to lead then run for office .... Leave me out of your Political aspirations.

Yep .... I expect & Insist that everyone acts like adults, if you feel the need to Insult someone then be a Man about it & do it in person, doing so from a keyboard isn't brave or honorable its the act of a coward & I won't stand for it PERIOD.

Luv if you want to insult me in person that would be fine by me, I'm pretty sure your attitude in person would be different though, Thinking about going to the AMFA Informational meeting come introduce yourself would love to meet a brave keyboard warrior like yourself. B)
