If you guys notice anomnuts didn't answer the question. The twu (and the teamsters) have invested heavily in the democratic party candidates. The rank and file (you and me) have received NOTHING from this misuse of our dues money. I would bet you that the union presidents and their vice presidents have received a big something from this money.

If AA mechanics were to vote the teamsters in as our union, the only difference would be that our dues money would go to a different set of pigs.

First off, Union Dues are not and legally can not be used for any part of a political process. All dues money must be tracked and this spending is readily available by looking up the annual LM-2's. You can start here

In the search bar type in TWU LM-2 (or Teamsters or AMFA or any other union you want to heck up on)

Who the Unions donate to and how much they give can be tracked through outside sources who compile all the required public information on easy to read web sites . The best one I have found is here;

I made it easy for you on this link and searched TWU, but you can again look up any Union in the search function. However, you have to spell out the name of the union rather than the initials. For IBT Teamsters works. AMFA is there too.

As for how the money used benefits you? That is up to each individual. Not everyone agrees in how the union spends their DONATED political funds. I have given to this fund voluntarily for years but I do not always agree with the spending. Overall, however, I would say it does benefit us because money is what the politicians listen to. I just do not go along with each and every cause, but the money does work.

Think about it. You send a letter of complaint to your local congress person you will get jack s*** back. You write a letter with a $10.00 donation to his next campaign and this same guy will start humping your leg. You will not be able to get him to leave you alone. Try it sometime if you don't believe me.

You say we (me YOU) received nothing from campaign contributions. I disagree for myself but you may still believe that. Cool with me. Your choice pal. But at least look up where the money is spent on your own. There is on right or wrong answer on this one. Our opinions will drive this in to a political debate which is why I have avoided the question until now.

I prefer a craft Union over and Industrial Union myself but the Teamster drive is like a grass fire in Tulsa it is going crazy fast where as the Amfa drive isn't getting much Interest, The Bottom line is I want to see the TWU go away & Amfa can't get enough cards to make it happen, it looks like the Teamsters can get enough cards to make it happen even if the line stations don't participate much so I will help the Teamsters get enough cards so that we can try another Union even if it's another Industrial Union, If we decide we don't like the Teamsters we can always switch again.
There are to many non A&P Mechanics at AA who believe that Amfa only cares about A&P Mechanics & therefore won't sign a card, from what I'm seeing most Amfa supporters are signing Teamsters cards but the reverse isn't true so much.
I have been soliciting Teamster cards but collecting both Amfa & Teamster cards, I take the few Amfa cards I get to an Amfa organizer & the Teamster cards to the Teamster office at the Hotel.

It is not Logical for Teamster Organizers & Amfa organizers to get into a mud slinging war, It will not benefit either drive ..... Thats just common sense, I suspect the TWU are trying to Instigate such a war to deflect attention from them & try to kill both card drives, It's a good plan but don't get suckered into it because it will only help keep the TWU at AA !!
Any Union is better than the TWU, We need to make a change so we won't keep getting offered such rediculous contracts.
There is no problem with having a Teamster card drive & and Amfa card drive at the same time, if by some chance both Unions are able to get enough cards then we will just have a three way vote ...... Winner takes all.

You claim to want rid of the TWU, and yet you ride an emotional roller coaster right into the TWU strategy. Just great! We have plenty of support for AMFA in Tulsa, you are just too blinded by your own emotions to get out as see it. The Teamsters drive started within 10 days of the AMFA drive starting, the base is huge, and you made the conclusion without attending any organizers meeeting, that AMFA had no support. Speak for yourself, and not others. What did you do to make your determination, hold a wet finger up into the wind?

Trading the TWU for the Teamsters is like trading Charmin Toilet Paper for Cottonelle Toilet Paper, and both should be used for the same purpose. You can keep justiying your actions in your own mind, but in the end, there is no change with the Teamsters. You should try learning the facts before playing into the TWU strategy like you have done. And even now that the Teamsters have admitted their true purpose in Tulsa, you still have your head buried in denial. There is nothing wrong with making a mistake, but remaining in complete denial only makes the mistake worse.
