Ideas to pass a TA with the mechanics.

It really doesn't matter what we fill out on the surveys.  TWU International will do what they want as always.  Here in Tulsa local 514 is trying to sell the IAMNPF right now.  I have tried to tell people to do some research on the internet and see for themselves that it's a bad deal.  But they are too lazy.  They don't believe the guys who will suffer with them but they believe anything that come out of the TWU.  Also some actually believe we will have both the IAMNPF and the 401K match.  If anyone believes that they need to be drug tested.
Sad but true..Also sad that there are still the TWU kool aid drinkers who think this alliance will benefit us. They honestly believe that AA management is going to shake in their boots at the mere mention of this "alliance." How we're going to get industry pay but NOT giver anything else up.

This fellow employee gets 0% company match.
Well technically thats not true, in your name the company gives $2/hr (regular hours only) to the IAMNPF.

Guess you can think of it as a donation to the IAMNPF.

2 x 2080 = $4160

So if you needed to work OT to get by not one penny more gets added to your contribution or your pension payout. Lets say you work 20% of all your hours as OT, that means in five years you will have effectively put in one extra year of hours but zero credit is given to your pension. So the company basically got a year out of you with no pension costs. You lost $2/hr for that year. Great deal for the company, its even cheaper than the 401K and they have no pension liability.

I did several hundred dollars than that without OT with the 5.5% match. If I'd had OT it would be at least a grand better and I can take it with me if I go. Wont have to pay a 24% penalty if I start to draw down at 60 either.
