" The person distributing these cards fell for the message, I was unimpressed with that."

not quite sure what your getting at.. What cards are you referring and What message...

If you want to get involved . get some cards and go out and talk to your brothers/sisters and inform them ..Ask them 1 question., ARE you HAPPY with the IAM.. if the answer is yes . move on

if no , then explain the IBEW position. IF you don't know the answer contact one of us..

sidenote: shouldn't Roth have gotten you guys together like say over a year ago when the IAM started administrating your contract.. WHY all the urgency now.. think he's looking out for his
best interest.. typical IAM

Start naming what will be lost.

regards,

Go back and read your own posts. Again smoke and mirrors with you.

You talk about what the IAM already negotiated for us will not be lost! That is Bull(*& Tim! You cannot say that. All deals are off and you know this, but you are not being factual.

labor dawg! You saying Brickner is a FAKE? I "m waiting for the truth. I lost it with the enteries. Get back later. But it sounds you've been there. I asked Brickner who the REAL lawyers are. Gosh! I hope were not dealing with flunckies!

Given the fact that the IAM just negotiated a transition agreement that the overwhelming majority of West members voted in favor of in the ratification process, it would seen disingenuous for them to even think about replacing the IAM at this point. All known information points to the IAM doing a good job for the West members, so I'm not sure what any movement to replace the IAM would gain other than to erode solidarity, divide, weaken and send the wrong signal to management. Your problem is not the IAM or IAM leadership. Your problem is those who would weaken the union from within by circulating authorization cards for another union. If we all stick together, we will accomplish our goals and get past this.

Are you kidding me ?? The IAM does not represent the ''WEST'' ,they represent the whole workforce ,the whole fleet. Even now your trying to sell people out. Your posts are under the IBEW update not Rah! Rah! IAM! I'm getting cards signed and in doing so I'm uniting this group not weakening it. Sell your cure all's somewhere else. You are completely out of touch with the situation. Keep this up and I'll e-mail Brickner and tell him your selling out the EAST.
Furthermore the IAM are currently not really representing the WEST, hell the East for that matter. They recieve no dues and the WEST is not under an IAM agreement....you know what the IAM is doing great by them. The West isn't paying them and they still recieve T. Brickners e-mail address for free....Nice
It sounds to me your alliance to T. Brickner and the IAM is blurring your vision. Hell I'll e-mail Charlie Manson and if he e-mails me back, well thats' good enough for me.

Thanks

Any other union would face the very same bargaining circumstances and challenge, and none that I'm familiar with has our resources, pension, airline industry experience, proven record and ongoing bargaining relationship with US Airways. You are in good hands, and your patience and support will be rewarded. Your problem is not the IAM or IAM leadership. Your problem is those who would weaken the union from within by circulating authorization cards for another union. If we all stick together, we will accomplish our goals and get past this.

LITH,

You are in good hands, and your patience and support will be rewarded. Your problem is not the IAM . Are you insane???? What a quote. If the IAM stays lith, I hope you have 20 years of patience or more//MARK MY WORDS YEARS FROM NOW!!!You will regret it like everyone who voted the teamsters out .....

If we all stick together, we will accomplish our goals and get past this.

We have been sticking together for 13years and keep getting "STICKED "you know where!!!!!!!

GoldenRam'94
I have posted facts regarding each issue. I have no problem discussing any of the facts I posted.

Golden Ram, again, kindly tell me what will be lost and why. You're screaming from the floor and accusing me of smoke and mirror, so please point to the smoke, and just step right up to the podium and present your case. I have no problem with the truth and I'm challenging you right now to put up or shut up. Workers everywhere, from coast to coast read this board.

Stop with the personal babble and step up to the podium. You got the floor buddy now let's see what this is that you're talking about that is going to be lost and WHY. Stick with facts, references, cases, like I have, and do not operate in the 'opinion zone'. That's all I ask.

"" I'm not sure what any movement to replace the IAM would gain other than to erode solidarity, divide, weaken"

funny you should mention that .. THAT is EXACTLY the tactics the IAM does.. lets see pit the east against the west.. (by giving the west the wage bait and the east who gave it all up

nothing but well nothing) or lets see another example.. Oh heres one.. lets make 2 classes of rampers Class I and Class II (since the company wants to eliminate the class II

we will get the hub boys to send them to the curb)... sound familiar

GO IBEW

lith,

just curious .. WHO who are the IAM attorneys.. ???????

that seems to be a big issue with you . so I am sure you KNOW

I am hoping that Tom Brickner is who he says he is. I have asked for the real players for IAM. I think this whole issue of who says and who knows SUCKS. Hopefully Al Hemenway/Tom Brickner are the real players here. And stop the second guessing..

This is exactly what we need. Dialog! We are dealing with the past and the current. Now, the current merge is talking about how awful IAM is. Can Tom Brickner get past this. Or, is it inevitable that we go ahead and go IBEW. East and West are miles apart. Let's get the experience going. And it won't be fleet or mechanics but the union HEADS and possible replacements to respond. It is so insignificant to rely on opinions, not facts.
