Maybe you need to learn to read the thread.

I have a great life, celebrating the win right now.

Listen up mr I think I know it all.

The IAM and TWU are in an alliance what happens at one airline and its unions effects the others.

Now go spread your hate and discontent some where else.

You are nothing more than an internet troll who has no dog in the fight.
The TWU/IAM Emp Assoc still has to be voted on unless I misread the documents.

In a statement, the Teamsters said it hoped the US Airways workers who supported its union would be heard. The US Air mechanics have been represented by the machinists union since 1949.
"Hundreds of mechanics and related (workers) at US Airways had the courage to launch a campaign and more than 1,400 voted for change," said Bret Caldwell, communications director for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
"They reached out to the Teamsters because they are the lowest-paid mechanics and have the lowest standards in the industry and wanted a strong alternative to their failed representation," Caldwell added in a statement.

And then they became informed........

You do realize if you vote no and the association vote fails, you will be non-union with no contract?

Travis whats your take on the vote today
robbedagain as I have said this is a no lose situation for the AMT's even though the IBT did not win the IAM has been put on notice that it needs to get it done or they are done and they know that now!
The IAM right now can look at the numbers and see that out of the 4376 eligible to vote the IAM won with only 43.5% and the IBT had 32.4% out of the total eligible voters and around 25% did not even vote that is only a 11% win margin.
If the IAM did not have the pension to hold over the heads of the membership they would be out the door today.
So even with my union preference not winning it's still a win in away for the AMT's even tho I think the IBT would have gotten us more than what the IAM will.

Don't count out the IBT yet!! AA is still in play. We will have to wait and see what the NMB has to say real soon.

And that's my take on this mess robbed and for you boys that thought I was going to run and hide.
I am STILL HERE.

swamt I see you boys got 00.18% at US........
Have a nice IBT day

The number of eligible voter was 4,573 per the NMB.

The total votes cast was 3,350, the IAM wont with 57% of the vote.

You got fuzzy math going Travis?

4,573-3,350= 1,223

If you say the ibt is so great how come you lost and how some 1,223 people didnt vote?

IAM got 57% and the ibt got 42% of the vote, thats 15% more than the ibt.

Funny how your tone is so different here, had it been the other way around you would be saying the IBT, US Airways, the NMB and everyone else interfered in the elections. The IAM has lost plenty of elections too, how many hundreds of thousands of members have they lost in the past 20 years? And today wasn't a win for the IAM, they didn't gain any dues payers they just got to keep what they have for now.

PS how come the communications dept hasn't updated the webite? Been nearly two weeks since Ira moved up.
