Iam Vs. Twu (fleet Service)

Chose not to get involved? Funny I saw the ramp negotiating committee at CCY trying to strike a deal.

And I don't think it was the NC that ratified the final offer, it was the membership, but I guess it is easier for you to blame the IAM then your coworkers who ratified the final offer.

Your group ratified every single concession package brought to them.

Oh 700UW you silly silly man. When has the company ever done what the were told to do. They do what they want. You should know that by now. And of course we have the wondeful IAM to back us up whenever the company does us wrong. You silly silly man !!!!!!!!!!!

why don't you have another representation vote.......take it in the shorts twice in one lifetime??
you could have worse........

Remember it only took them 4 times to vote a union in.

so i take it this means they've never been happy with any union??
well then maybe its not the union movement but the people......wow.

Fleet Service did not recieve EVER a recomendation for a yes or NO vote on past TA's or LAST OFFERS.(it was the best we could do BS is all we get) Membership hired The IAM to lead and give advice on such proposals or TA's. We pay these guys 90,000 or more a year and they act like USAirways management showing there true colors protecting there own A$$.

Keep defending the IAM we all need a good laugh......

   your best interest was to accept it believe it or not...you all knew there were going to be casualties.....
if anyone thought for a minute the outstations wouldn't get porked by their own brothers and sisters in the large hubs...well you got something coming.
your total demise has been at your own hands,by your own membership......not your union....
union says vote no-you lose your job, blame the union
union says vote yes-some keep there jobs, some lose, you blame the union
union doesn't recommend-you don't know how to make your own minds up and blame the union for not thinking for you.
have anice IAM day....

Funny, the first two rounds of concessions the Fleet Service NC gave yes reccomendations, they gave no reccomendation on the final offer.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

I'm willin to bet that the only way this so called alleged final offer would have passed was to get 2 more cities added to cat 1 list--and that was done with PVD and BDL being added.

The IAM won the heavy maintenance jobs ????????
Where are all those jobs now ??????
Tell that one to my friend who had 15years with U as a Mechanic and is now cleaning stalls at the Meadows.
Tell that to all the utility people that now are unemployed (only 25 left).
700UW you silly silly man the IAM has never gained any jobs for us.
Don't let the facts cloud your thinking.

The IAM kept the jobs since 1949, it took two chapter 11 filings and three rounds of concessions to force what has transpired, guess you forgot about that.

And I was a utility person, and maybe should find out the real reason the company wanted to eliminate the jobs.

And there are 50 left, not 25.

And I guess the high wages and job security that was obtained for years and years means nothing.

Look around every union at every major legacy carrier is under attack and the membership is to weak to stop the bleeding.

AFA, ALPA, CWA, IAM, IBT, TWU and AMFA have all taken concessions, guess the economy, fuel and 9/11 have nothing to do with it, the unions voluntarily went to the companies and gave back billions in concessions.

Guess you don't remember what US Air did to the non-union Fleet and Customer Service agents back in 1992.

Once again, don't let the facts get in your way.

IMO
Maybe if the i.a.m. gave us all of the info to let us make our own decision
the outcome would have been different. You see the membership stood solid behind the i.a.m.'s "the concession stand is closed" who was it that opened the concession stand ? was it the rank and file or did the NC take it upon itself to open the concession stand. We pay dues and should have the say not our leadership.

I guess you forgot about the Judge and the section 1113 c contract abrogation motion that forces the union to negotiate with the company.

And funny in CLT the fleet guys had meetings to explain the whole contract.

The M&R group conducted any Q&As the members had at the polling places.

I find it ironic people have convenient memories.

i find it ironic that only the hubs and the "big cities" voted the contract in not the out lining cities such as dtw, cmh, gso, avp, abe, etc etc it was the littles ones that got hit due to the big cities voting it in and the addition of BDL and PVD being added to class 1 cities just to get the so called vote to pass. those are just some of the facts that should be looked at. also, a friend of mine called me today and told me that he had heard from someone in phl that FSS is now doing or going to do utility. is that true?

So what did the i.a.m. do at United with "the section 1113 c contract abrogation motion that forces the union to negotiate with the company." ?
And noone at this point can show me in writing that Cat. is or was protected.

So let me get this straight you hire a lawyer in this case this union and then you ask them for advice to vote yes or no in the most important time a contract ratification and they dont give it.

If they were my personel lawyer in a trial they would have been fired long long ago.
