I just hope our ND08 guys are on top of this attendance(new) policy. Some one please keep us updated here...thanks.

I didn't see the rant the belly warmer posted but it is understandable. Put yourself in the shoes of a person who is going from six figures down to below 40 grand a year..........................
For the first time in the history of the district, agc's were elected to represent the work force, not appointed. Time will pass and the thought of eating lunch and dinner without the membership paying for it will diminish. My only regret is that I didn't make it to JAX. As for the sick policy
, it didn't include the maint dept who is rep. by the IAM so why should it voluntarily apply tu fleet.

Spoke to 2 agc's friday, our reps will be meeting with the company this week in Tempe. I have been told District President Delaney and Int Airline Director Brickner will be attending as well.
Brickner is a solid union guy. I've disagreed with the guy on occasion but he's among the best in the Transportation Department. Good to know he will be there.

Tim Nelson

I think the fact that only FS and CSR's fall under this new policy says
something about how they think of us. They probably knew that M&R
would have tossed it out in an instant. Anyway good luck to our
delegation.

Does anyone want to talk about the Aerospace Contract (DL843?). It
seemed to be pretty good to me. Buffy said they would win. They
got 74% to ratify. Apparently the current environment is better for
Aerospace than the 2002 environment of the last contract. Maybe some
one could post the gains they got here but it seems to me that they did
pretty well.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm going to go out on a limb and say
they did better that M&R and WAY better than fleet. Apples and oranges
maybe but the envirionment is the same. Scope improvement vs scope
loss. Lump sum payments and raises over the next 4 years. AND no increase
in medical premiums. (Get ready you westies)

I'm counting the days until our CBA becomes amendable and I hope we can
get ourselves more on the same page next time. And if we are put in the
possition of having to negotiate a transition agreement I hope we'll
have more patience. For now I'll be watching with interest as to the
outcome of these talks. I'm confident we have it covered. Anyway
Tim Nelson say's we do and I live and die by what he says. (Really...
after all what do I know?) Thanks BF

PS Tim. Sorry we didn't meet up at the DL Conv. Thanks again for all
your work.

Roadtrip,

I didn't see anything that was updated. Was there something in particular that you were referring too?

Rogue
Several pages are being worked on please refer to the top links on committees you will begin to see a more updated look to the district website in the coming weeks. Since many have not been to this site before it is the challenge to get the address out to the membership. Please pass the word to as many as you can that this site is now being worked on.....

Thanks

I've been shaking the grapevine and been hearing that cheap suites may have ditched
grievences and arbitration cases. I know there's been no action on a couple cases I
know about. In a previous post the word football head was mentioned, any clue to has a head like a football?
