I dont see a mass IAM write in, save your ink. I dont think the alliance is the answer, but if im going to write in anything, its not gonna be IAM or TWU. I would rather see AMFA or even IBT before those other clowns.TRAVIS said:I say NO to the Alliance and write-in IAM only for this vote.I still think the IBT would do a better job than the IAM but they pulled out so its my 2nd pick. The post was a little info. for you AA boys on the New Company Management and the way they work as some of us have had the ill pleasure of being bent over for. Some of us still fight for what we want and some still runaround with their Head up there A$$ not knowing all the facts or even caring. Now as far as you solicit on my vote, I vote you pull your head out. CHEW SPIT!!!
Amfa has no pension plans and will not fight to get one or keep one at least IBT and IAM do work with them.TopCat870 said:I dont see a mass IAM write in, save your ink. It was a bad day.... You had to call a number to see if you had a job.bigjets said:Seems what happened to awa mechs happened to aa TWU mechs, the only difference we pay union dues for that privledge. I guess you never had your union rep say "there's no fence between AA AND UNITED" when your seniority was violated.
You US boys would serve yourselves well to do some research. Unfortunately here at AA the pension contributions have ceased. When our contracts become one, no one, including the big bad IBT will be able to convince the company to restart contributions to our pensions. More than likely, you'll need to find out how the IAM will handle your money once AA freezes yours also.TRAVIS said:Amfa has no pension plans and will not fight to get one or keep one at least IBT and IAM do work with them.
The pension is what keeps the us airways guys IAM and that's it because its not the contracts they do for us.
That's my point.. How do they plan to getting this alliance in when none or at-least most of the AMT don't want it???iluvaa said:No one in Tulsa is for the alliance
If the IAM loses its pension it will be out the door....JABORD said:You US boys would serve yourselves well to do some research. Unfortunately here at AA the pension contributions have ceased. They shouldn't lose the pensions, however, they will get frozen once the merger is completed. More than likely it will be done at JCBA.TRAVIS said:If the IAM loses its pension it will be out the door....
Remember. What people tell you to your face or in a crowd with audience is not always what will happen or what they actually do!TRAVIS said:That's my point.. How do they plan to getting this alliance in when none or at-least most of the AMT don't want it???
Don't see the pensions continuing with a JCBA.TRAVIS said:If the IAM loses its pension it will be out the door....
It's the TWU/IAM we are dealing with. A few scenarios are:TRAVIS said:That's my point.. How do they plan to getting this alliance in when none or at-least most of the AMT don't want it???
AA cant freeze the IAMNPF, they are not the owners nor managers of it, the only way contributions would stop if is the IAM and the membership approves changes in a new CBA.swamt said:They shouldn't lose the pensions, however, they will get frozen once the merger is completed.
