At LGA their mainline terminal has Delta Ramp, at the Marine Air Terminal at LGA they use DGS for the ramp. Same airport, yet the same work is vendored out.

you love to bring that up but do you realize that the MAT is entirely E175/170 flying while there are 150 or more flights at the main DL terminals that are worked by mainline employees.

You do realize that DL works more DCI flights at ATL than a number of airlines have in mainline flying at all but several hubs?

WeAAsles,
can you tell us how many stations AA just outsourced in one capacity or another?

are there stations where AA has mainline above wing personnel but outsourced below wing?

and the number of cities where DL has ANY mainline personnel is probably as high as any airline in the US... I don't know but I would love to see the statistics if someone has them.

Kev used to make lots of lists of cities... this would be a good time for another list.

Kev can also confirm but I believe DL still uses the term Customer Service Agent to refer to above and below wing personnel.

WT:

DL has 43 mainline ramp stations and AA has 17 stations.  DL has 17 cargo locations, AA has only has the five hubs.

spare us, robbed. we could find plenty of things to criticize US about if we wanted to, including outsourcing that they have allowed and jobs that have been eliminated.

if you spent half the time fixing your own company as you do trying to find what is wrong with other people, you might take a whole lot of the wind out of sails of people who find plenty wrong with US.

tell you what WT  why don't you SPARE me and this entire board all of your propaganda bs and interjecting DL into every flippin thread.   As far as im concerned DL does more outsourcing and can do as they plz to their employees at will any time they wish to   with the exception of the pilots and dispatchers.     Im not in a position to fix my company  as far as my company's problems that for the higher ups to fix  if they should choose to do so.

except DL doesn't outsource any more than other airlines.

You might be surprised to learn that the total value of outsourcing is reported to the DOT and, believe it or not, there really aren't huge differences between any of the legacies. There are certainly differences between what different airlines outsource but the notion that any airline outsources more than others isn't terribly sustainable... but it makes for lots of discussion here.
