and tell us how many airline unions have been removed and not replaced by another union?

Ignorance, no.

You don't TRY a union.

You're stuck with one or the other. While they suck money out of your paycheck.

We were asked to "try" going w/o representation- to give it a chance, as it were.

We did. It's not working. Time to go back to what's effective.

Kev,

No disrespect, but do you have a mouse in your pocket, because surely you are not including me in that statement...

convince 5001 or so of your coworkers and you can have a union

for the FAs it's about 10,001

I have to ask.  Did you truly give it a try?  With all due respect, I remember you were pretty upset in the late 2010 timeframe following the election and enjoy reminiscing on the good old days, but did you vote to be unorganized?  I'm guessing not.  Granted you work at DL and are free to have whatever opinion either way but you can't pass off that you or your PM-NW group collectively gave DL a chance as many have been bitter and angry since the merger and have been in for a real culture shock.

Organize DL's CSA, Res and Maintenance, lol!
Doubt, very seriously, DL Maintenance will "EVER" let the IAM in the door, after what they did to NW mechanics...........but good luck!

Very good post from a current DL FA:
"Additionally I have had a hard time grasping the push back from our coworkers. How can 49.9% of our combined work group be wrong."

Because the other 50.1 % are smarter than you!

take it for what its worth but today in talks with several of the IAM leadership that came to visit us regarding our up coming vote  the IAM believes that B6 and or DL will be the next one to go with the IAM and from what we were told they are seriously thinking DL is going to go IAM before B6    they also sounded very positive about it.

well of course they would say that.

Do you expect them to say that they don't expect to ever see DL unionize?

you do realize the sun rises in the east?
you do realize that DL has been one of the least unionized large airlines in the world ALWAYS and NW was specifically chosen because it was of a size that would allow DL to be able to retain its historical labor environment.

DL mgmt. knew what they were doing.

Roach gets very excited about new dues payers.  I saw the video of him, Sito and everyone at the NMB offices during the UA vote in 2011.

Who cares?

Tell the board something they haven't read 1000's of times before.
