Good news! There's still time.

Sign a card, help Dept. 120 call for an election, then you give "give your opinion" at the ballot box.

I forget the movie, but I recall the quote, "you don't put on a condom unless you intend to ..."
I have no intentions of enabling a vote for a dues collecting corporation, specially the IAM...

Xanadu, no.

perhaps you can tell us what other airlines anywhere close to the size of DL are 80% non-union - including foreign airlines if unions are allowed in their home country.

I'm sure it will be a cold day in Manaus before we agree that government policies are doing more to undermine the American dream for the middle class but it might be worth considering that more people will benefit by changes in Washington than thru unions who companies have been given the green light to run roughshod over.

no, Kev, I am not anti-worker.

I am FOR what works and for fixing the problems that cause problems instead of laying blame where it does no good or expecting miracles that won't succeed.
You can only be Pro-worker if your Pro-union.

your posts suggest you are an anti union..

And the problem is.................

The body of work you've created during your "10 year internet career" says otherwise.
And your body of work says your anti-company and everyone is out to get you.

Thumbs up!

Your condescension is duly noted. I'm "succeeding" right now, thanks.
Then why do you need a union?

We're comin' up on 4 yrs. now. We've been patient long enough.
What's gonna happen when your coming up on 20 years?

Tell us more about this alleged "first hand experience."
Over 100 years of union BS in my family!

if you don't have a problem with DL being able to pull crap repeatedly  then that's you   I only post what I had experienced during my time at non union Piedmont (EN) for 3 yrs and compare it to US    As far southwind as the problem.. its no problem.   Everyone has their own opins on union or non union.. I respect that with everyone.   but its just my hope to see folks like KEV get back into a union of their choosing and to see them get representation from the union so that the company cannot pull crap like what we endured during my 3 yrs at EN.

Be patient. Writing a T/A out takes time...

So does putting lipstick on a pig...

If I were a UA agent, and US gets such a "monumental" TA, I would be seriously looking at changing collective bargaining agents; oh wait, that is almost impossible...

You will see the CBA is better than anything you have at DL, that can be changed or taken away at any time.

Will IAM members be duped into this T/A (as Roach would say)?

That is to be seen, but in the mean time, the UA membership wallows in sh...  (mind you, the same district)

josh  the IAM FSA as far as the TA goes, its a helluva better deal than UA   and it has a much better scope enhancement than UA  Once it is ratified BY THE MEMBERSHIP  the company CANNOT outsource.   My gut feeling is that FSA will ratify it  but M&R I am not sure  What recourse does DL have?  none??????????????

Did the UA membership get to vote on it?

Do you as a DL employee vote on a 33% reduction in your profit sharing from 15% to 10%?

Did you vote on why some DL employees got a 2% raise while others got a 3% raise?

Did you vote on your healthcare increases that ate up your raise?

Do you have scope language?

Why are mainline DL ramp working flights at LGA, while the DL flights at MAT are outsourced?

Do you have a defined benefit plan?
