1)I have no job skills and won’t be able to make near this amount of money anywhere else

2)I advise you as I have advised others bag chucker to vacate the stock market (if you must continue to invest then buy gold ) and if you need a new car or house and your credit is still holding , get it .. Then max out your credit cards in a way that doesn’t look like your committing fraud and default on all unsecured debt … I’m not telling you those things to screw up your life , but to make sure that your prepared for the future … as the Russians say “better to have want you want now then not be able to buy it with near worthless money later “ …

3)As to me being an "expert" i whole heartedly admit that i am not .. no college degree here ... althou i do have strong reading comprehension skills ... it's no small thing for me to tell people to cash out their 401k's and max out and then default on their credit cards , but i would be remiss if i didn't try to warn people of this unforeseen danger and advise how best to avoid it .

4)the nation of Ecuador just defaulted on their national debt this weekend ...

5)hey what can i say , i study the business news now 24/7 ... i can't get enough of it ... it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion ....

6)Either way ... as our economy continues to crumble which you will see , i'm going to take you with me ,

Yes I can. You have to remember son I have been here for almost 35 yrs.

1)You have no job skills, yet you give financial advice to the forum reader. So you either know what you're talking about and lying about your skills, or you're telling the truth about your lack of skills and giving piss poor advice. I'm leaning towards the latter.

2)Vacate the stock market? ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?! You NEVER sell when things are down, you hold, and if money allows INVEST! Second, "max out your credit cards in a way that doesn’t look like your committing fraud"??? So you advocate commiting fraud? And what fraud is being commited? Or are your language skills as poor as your financial skills?

3)Being able to read, and comprehend, is a good skill. You need to remember, however, that there is a lot of information that is left out of the context of what you read. If reading was all it took we'd all be rocket scientists working at NASA.

4)Do you even know where Equador is? No fair using Google!

5)24/7 eh? So do you even work here, or do you just clock in and do nothing all day, wasting payroll?

6)You're going to take me with you? Is that some sick twisted version fo "If you go, we go"? Man, that's inspiring. I really want to follow someone whos motto is "If I go, you go!.

Mike, 35 years? Doesn't that make you... Old????

Lastly, can someone tell Rich he's got the flags backwards? The US flag belongs on the audiences left and the speakers right.

Freedom = The Noriel Roubini of the USAviation Boards!

Bravo my good man bravo !

i wonder how many others understand the comparison ?

well necigrad you are logically correct ... really , who should take advice from a baggage handler with no college degree ... i suppose that i'm not really offering advice , more like simply helping the reader to do what their already thinking about doing ... in alot of ways the situation we're in feels crazy ... to contemplate vacating the market , to even say such a thing sounds unreal ... but these are unreal times ...

anyways , welcome famous freddy

and i am also happy to see that they are improving the web cite ... i also like this survey idea !

I've waited long enough to get involved in this message board. It looks like a good way to get involved. Freedom I have to say,"Where are you from? Leave the macro economics to the think tanks and concentrate on the issues at hand. We can never give the company another chance or oppertunity to plunder our pockets or contracts again. It has come to the point where one has to take a stand and say,"If I cannot make a living then neither can the sandcastle." No longer can we support or subsidize the traveling public. If they do not want to pay to fly then walk."

famousfreddie welcome to the forum very good post agree 100%

Hey thanks for the heads up on the flags issue I knew there was a proper way of having a flag on the pole with the US flag at top and all other flags below. I didnt know about the left right thing. There will be one more clip coming soon with the same problem but any clips in the future will be correct. Thanks again.

No, they're not "unreal times". Yes, things are far from normal trends, but all the principals are still valid. Ask any financial professional. They will invariably all tell you that pulling out now is the WORST thing to do. They may make some suggestions on what to change, but they will NOT tell you to pull it out. You haven't lost a penny until you do just that. If you think you can pull out and then put back in at the right time I'll point you to the day traders of the late 90's. They lost, big time.

As far as credit card fraud goes ... my view on the cards is "get it while it's good " at the rate our economy is going credit cards are not going to be around forever ... and what are credit cards but free money , aka unsecured debt ... i say drink heavily from the fountain ... because a year from now , money may devalue the way it did in russia in the late 1990's and you may find yourself wishing you had somehow managed to obtain that new 50 inch you were always dreaming about .. (remember charge essentials to your credit card such as food , rent , car payments , and buy what you want with actual cash so as to leave no paper trail , if anyone were to look at your credit card , all they would see is someone struggling to pay the essentials )

You really need to stop giving financial advice. NOTHING should be put on a credit card unless you can pay it off that month. Carrying a balance on a card is something that should be done with great care. If you have a concern for being employed there's NO justification to buy ANYTHING other then the essentials; everything you spend on that you don't need to may be money for food 6 months from now.

When used on a speaker’s platform, the flag, if displayed flat, should be displayed above and behind the speaker. When displayed from a staff in a church or public auditorium, the flag of the United States of America should hold the position of superior prominence, in advance of the audience, and in the position of honor at the clergyman’s or speaker’s right as he faces the audience. Any other flag so displayed should be placed on the left of the clergyman or speaker or to the right of the audience.

There's the actual protocal, and should you choose to read it, here's the link:

Glad I could help.

lets see, freedom is giving us advice about the poor economy and yet he was one of the many westies who VOTED YES to SELL THEIR BROTHERS AND SISTERS in 11 cities out the door. That sure makes a lot of sense. next time I need financial advice I'll make sure sure to call a real expert. As for fighting, we have to fight the company regardless of the economy. USAirways has what it takes to survive. They treat us the employees with disrespect and expect us to do more work for less pay and with very little tools. It is not the unions fault that the mgmt of this outfit cant clear the backlog of grievances. IF USAIRWAYS WERE TO ACTUALLY FOLLOW OUR CONTRACT--the POS that it is--THEN MAYBE WE WOULDNT BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY, Would we????

The vast majority of the problems on the IAM thread are the results of one poster not being able

to stay on topic and insisting on making this thread another gloom and doom thread.

Okay, I'll side track everyone... I noticed CLT got a bunch of transfers last month. Hope there's still room for me. I need ideas on where to buy my house. I'm looking at Gastonia. Any suggestions?

That depends on what your looking for....

Do you have young kids in school?

Do you want to live in the country?

Do you want to live by a lake?

How far do you want to drive to work....
