Just curious there dell what cost did the IAM bring to your furloughed members? How much work has been taken from your members since the IAM has been there? Yea, I know about the BK'S and all that.......but what has the IAM cost the members? :)

Dodged? :blink: No dodge intended. You seem to have an answer you are looking for. What is it?

When a group is first unionized it will have it's losses. The attitude of the company and the members changes and mistrust becomes the rule of the day very often. Any other loses, especially for the first contract, could vary depending on the negotiating team and other factors involved. I hope this was satisfactory. If not then ask a specific question. :)
 
Both groups of members have lost "possessions" with there respective unions, but the IAM has lost more for it's membership. As I have stated before, the lessor of the two NECESSARY evils is the IBT. The IAM CBA is not a benefit for its members now, it is a "to do" list for the company to get started implementing. "Chop and Cut" will be the rule of the day, it will be done not because it is necessary to "save the company", it will be done because the company is allowed by the IAM CBA. :)
 
Even with the losses there will be jobs added because of the scope language and if we all fell under the ibt cba there would be jobs lost.

Stop the lies the IAM CBA does not permit anymore cuts then that has all ready occurred.

Show me where in the IAM CBA that allows the company to make more cuts unilaterally.

On one hand you say the IAM CBA is the latest and greatest CBA and on the other you say welcome to glass and hemming country. If these two "cowboys" are as bad as you say then what do you think is going to happen to the union interests. :)
