I.A.M VS I.B.T

Guess you have comprehension problems also.

Read the post right above the original post where I talked about Section 6

What comprehension problem. You say that the cba can't be changed until 09 due to the POR. Is the FA's bk cba different? I'll bet they it said they can't change until it is out. Now the AFA and company agreed to start on a new single contract now, so which is it?

Can it be changed or not Mr. 7? you seem to have been proven wrong that the company can and will open negotiations sooner rather than later. ? what do the iam think of that???

Is that too much for YOU to comprehend????

go check the thread where afa is posting...its a transitional agreement....two contracts merged into one with company, afa east/west coming to agreement.
cool your noogies..... ;) not a "new" contract as far as total renegotiation.

According to the transition agreement posted on
www.afa66.org
under section v. 30 days from the LOA thye meet for financial and information, no later than 60 days they start negotiations for a single contract.
the LOA serves as contract until the new single agreement is reached.

you're in the ballpark there cowboy....but when you combine two or more existing contracts, its done while negotiating because the company and the unions all have to come to terms regarding work rules and wages and such that exist in each contract.please note that these kind of negotiations are not what most think they are. in this case 3 parties have to reach some type of mutual agreement in blending the contracts together which may result in wage/benefit/work rule changes and modifications.but they are not your traditional neg's at the end of a traditional contract period.
take care ;)

Single contract meants transition negotiations.

How many mergers have you been through?

Most of us at US have been through several and in each merger there was never a total new Section 6 Contract negotiated, just transition negotiations.

PI/PS/TS mergers.

Go Eductate yourself.

OK if the "transition" talks are the same as getting to a "single" contract, then if anything is changed from east current bk contract, then that would be altering the bk POR, as you said it can not be changed. which is it?????

Part of the POR is to transition to a single CBA, part of the merger plan. There are cost parameters that have to be met.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

BOY THE IAM DID GOOD ON THIS. HUNG YOU OUT TO DRY FOR 4 YEARS AND UP THE DUES AND SAID WE WILL TALK NEXT CONTRACT!!! :mf_boff:
SOMEONE CALL A COP IVE BEEN RAPED!!! :cop:

Guess you don't know what happened since you were not there.

The IAM could not reach an agreement with the company, on 1/6/05 Judge Mitchell abrogated the CBA.

The IAM was bound to bring out the last and final offer for a vote, which it did and the membership ratified it.

Is that too hard for you to understand?

THIS IS JUST something to chew on A THOUGHT?????

HAY WAKE UP!!!!!!THE IAM HAS LET ITS MEMBERS DOWN WITH BACK DOOR DEALS, LET THE COMPANY AND A BK JUDGE TAKE A CONTRACT AND CUT IT INTO LITTLE PISCES WITH NO WAY TO RETURN IT BACK AFTER THE COMPANY GETS OUT OF BK AS IT IS NOW. OR DID THE IAM KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS NEW AIRLINE THAN YOU THINK?????

Lets think about this... How long has AWA and US Airways been working on this deal 6mo? I will bet on 1 1/2 to 2 YEARS!!! Now think...When did the BK judge the company and YOUR fine IAM union come up with your NEW PAY CUTS AND SO ON.....I Think That a lot of members said that they voted yes and some kind of BS about a second and third VOTE OR TILL THE IAM GOT IT RIGHT....Think.... did the fine IAM KNOW what was in the future for the old US airways.. I bet on a back door deal to save union dues.

HAVE A NICE IBT DAY

Dell, where in the heck do you come up with all those pics that fit your message so well? Have you thought about a career change into marketing? By the way, caught about 50 white bass the past weekend and they were GOOD! My offer still stands.
