I.A.M VS I.B.T

Dell I disagree with some of what you said. It is doing for ourself that has put us all in this shape - everyone worried about ME. We are the union when we do for the group the union benefits and most important of all, we, all of us individuals, benefit. So Dell I fell that we need to look at what is best for our brothers instead of what is best for ME. We all benefit when we do that.

you contribute to your union you are contributing to your own betterment.
its a moot point because 88% of us don't give a damn.....we can smoke union ganja all we want but we're a very small minority.

A painful transition is occurring in the aviation maintenance industry, a shift in the market's need for maintenance technicians with certain skills to a new type of technician who is more comfortable with troubleshooting critical paths and computer databases than shooting rivets and opening inspection panels. The transition is painful because jobs that were finally reaching the point of paying a decent salary have disappeared, sent overseas to lower-cost maintenance providers or to non-airline maintenance companies that aren't required to employ as many mechanics with A&P certificates as is an operator that conducts its own maintenance.

UNITED CHIEF PREDICTS AIRLINE MERGERS
Changes in the regulatory environment are likely to permit mergers between major US airlines, Glenn Tilton, chairman and chief executive of United Airlines, said on Thursday as the carrier looks to a future beyond three years in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Many industry observers expect a reorganized United to take part in future consolidation, after a bid to buy US Airways in 2000 was blocked by the US Department of Justice. US Airways was subsequently acquired last year by America West, a smaller rival, but speculation continues that United could eventually combine with Houston-based Continental. United expects to receive court approval for its restructuring plan on Friday, paving the way for it to leave Chapter 11 on February 1.
