Pinocchio
Mechanics vote, are you ready 700UW Dec 21 2005, 09:04 PM Post #2 And how many times does it have to be told that a change in representation does not open the CBA?
why then did you post contrary information regarding this before?

Go back and look and see just how memy times you two posted/ranted the facts are out and you have been shown the facts.
deny and spin...good tactic there bird...
Is funny when you get shown up cause you go and hide for awile.
deny and spin....deny and spin
All we have ever asked for is facts and linkes to them is that to hard for you to do?????
and thats all you ever have gotten after we refute your posted misinformation

The board of directors of America West Holdings Corporation has unanimously approved the merger of America West Holdings with Barbell Acquisition Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group,Inc.

Can you comprehend that?

ahh,we been doing it for weeks now but you keep posting misinformation which forces us to research (mostly on the teamsters 104 website) and show where you are misinformed.
and i might add it is being noticed.

starting a new thread won't change your slanted facts. ;)

YES I CAN never said it wasn't a merger.

you keep splitting hairs......its a merger like the kind that makes NMB rule single carrier.
i called NMB and talked to the same person you did...they said you were reading the wrong areas and making misinformed interpretaions. ;)

its a 'burgh thing
actually, lack of participation is noticed on a national level in most union circles....somewhat of a phenomena especially when successful participation reaps benefits to all who come.
why this lackluster thing? hard to tell.times have changed...people should be required to read union history as it seems we are heading back into the scenarios that our forefathers found neccessary to fight and organize.it will most likely get worse with a national average of union participation around 12%.
check my statements,they are supported.
one of many verifiable sources

and another
I don't totally agree nor do I totally disagree with you as far as "successful participation reaps benefits to all who come." Maybe at one point in time or many points in time but it sure doesn't seem to be going in that direction right now. Because of the lowering membership, the power in numbers isn't there and neither is the participation. Very true.....times have changed and not necessarily for the better......in the lives of the working man and woman. ;)

ok,ok...in all fairness.
I realize it must be terribly frustrating to post what you percieve or have been told is truthful information to have it continually thrown in your face by a couple of people you think are rank amatuers.
in the spirit of fairness and truthful sources i will now show where i get the information that continually discredits you and your efforts.

heres one place:

heres another place:

and yet another one:

and even here:

so you see,we're beating you with your own information...suggest you read before posting.

and I almost forgot this one:

WHERE WE LEARN THE ART:

Hey Bird Brain,

YOu are wrong once again. Go look at history and precedent and how the NMB has ruled.

Precedent..?? Precedent..?? Is that the same kind of "Precedent" the IAM counted on when the judge threw out our contract...??"" Never has a judge thrown out an union aggreement,.never..""..says the IAM in March 2005..

If your gonna start telling people to base their opinions on "Precedent" then the IAM has lost the fight.

funny, i don't recall any judge ever tossing a contract at U.....said he would if company/union didn't come up with an alternative though.

twisting reality a little to fit your world?

Never said a judge has not thrown out a CBA.

PSA/US merger

Trump Shuttle/US Merger

AMFA beating IAM at NWA and UAL.

AMFA beating the ibt at WN.

The PFAA beating the ibt at NWA.

All examples.

Keep trying.

As I have been tring to get across to all is that We will not have to live under the IAM contract tell 2009++ if the IBT win. Do you agree?
Under 19.602 http://www.nmbfacts.com/RepManual-Index.htm

The IBT contract is going good: http://www.teamsterslocal104.org/negotiations_summary.htm and
http://www.teamsterslocal104.org/Files/cur...t_1998-2003.pdf which has the scope for maintenance.

Why would you want to stay under IAM's contract tell 2009++?

when a new union wins representation they "maintain" the previous contract until it expires then they negotiate their own.thats the way its been done....would have gone that way when AMFA tried to get in at U.you even pay dues to the "winning" union even though they have limited power other than maintenance of the existing agreement until expiration.

and your present negotiations can drag on forever under RLA...thats a given.
