Sorry TWASliverbullet

No I haven't forgotten. However, I have only had 3 weeks to quit my other job, get a crashpad setup, and prepare for training again. No, I am not complaining because I do have my job back. Just my time is being well organized. I haven't forgotten and never will.

Peace!

Flyboy4u, it was good to hear from you again, I used to enjoy reading your posts. I wish you all the best on your return. Keep on posting and let us know how every thing is going for you when ever you get a chance. :)

Good luck and Peace to you also. ;)

I will let you know how its going when I arrive in Dallas Monday.

It has now been 5 days since the deadline for replying to the recall notice. You would think either the company or our "union" would let us know how many are actually coming back.

jim ,personally, i find your "grapevine news" to always be more accurate than anything that the alleged "union" ever says, when they actually manage to say anything at all. and as for furloughees, we all know how very little the "union" cares about us, and how little they do to get us recalled.

I agree with everything you said Wings.

Maggie Joyce has posted on the 4m that she spoke with Lauri Curtis and 186 out of the 233 recalled have accepted. There are still 200 people on OL that have not communicated with the company about their intentions. Another 200 have resigned so at this point 1100 are planning to return to the line.

An earlier post stated that there were approx 950 AA flight attendants above the first TWA f/a to be called back....this post states 1100 are returning....so wouldnt that mean some TW f/a's may be among those coming back? Or is this "fuzzy math"?

This should be the total of people on OVL and the 233 that were recalled and accepted, none former TWA'ers.

You misunderstand, but it's not surprising with all the talk of returning flight attendants. There were approx. 950 furloughed flight attendants senior to the TW flight attendants of which 233 have been recalled effective 01JUL. That leaves approx. 715 nAAtive flight attendants on the involuntary furlough list ahead of the most senior TW flight attendant.

Coincidentally, there happen to be 1100 flight attendants--some very senior-- who are returning on the same day from an Overage Leave of absence (OVL) which is a voluntary leave. Speculation is rampant that a number of these will not return to work and instead will retire or resign. It will probably be the middle of July before the dust begins to settle on the issue of how many of the recalled furloughees and how many of the returning OVLs actually reported to work.
