Flight Attendant Recalls In 2005

Plus IOR gets china in April. Miami is looking at getting multiple flights to Northern Brazil, also heard that ASU might get a three or four day a week nonstop seasonal.

Is it true that New Delhi is going through March only?

I looked up the old press releases and they simply stated daily service would begin. I'm sure if it were seasonal they would have said so.

I'd imagine most of the India traffic would be ethnic and business, and therefore not as subject to seasonality as many other routes.

Not to mention all of the new JFK routes that are rumored, once the new terminal in up and running. I don't know how true these are but, it came from the man who runs the NYC base!! If these happen, we have to recall more flight attendants.

From your mouth to someone's ear on MUC! My daughter lives in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and MUC is an hour away vs. FRAs 5 hour train ride. I would think as full as the FRA flight are, AND the amt. of US military in Germany, MUC would be great. I know TWA had the route authority but for some reason I believe it was tied into a CDG flight. We had a 727 or two over there for the Germany flights. Ah, the memories..lol Lots of our old route authorities on that list.

Munich was our first transatlantic 767 destination, and the first route by an American carrier across the pond on "only" two engines. I remember flying it through Geneva as well, and it may have gone through Paris at one time. Great Scweinehaxe!

BTW, I was born in Frankfurt and moved to Garmisch a few months later, but I remember nothing since we moved back to the states when I was two.

We've been told in IOR that MXP is just WAY TO EXPENSIVE to operate at. Never know if they tell us the real truth.

Rumors are running around LGA that a recall soon...Look 4 one in Sept for a Nov 1 return to the line...It only makes since and I really hope it comes true...We are running short here in NY. I hope all get to return back soon.

What Unity?

That may be true but if you might layover out on the lake like TWAers did, you would find it the best layover site you'll ever have. Absolutely stunning.

Have no fear. AA's hotel rep will find the Italian equivalent to a Motel 6 next to the all night horseshoe foundry in town.

Sure hope that there is a recall in September for a November return.Quite a few of us AAers over at Eagle are feeling the burnout of 5 leg days, and would gladly comute from here to wherever they want to base us just to get on a widebody. I did pick up a CRJ trip, and realized how much I missed flying with another person. The plane reminds me of a Fokker 100, though a lot brighter and cleaner! I don't know if it makes much of a difference but one person on the recall list above me (in the 98 Aaer group) quit so I crawled up to number 77 on the recall list.

sigh. we can only hope.

Have you seen the AA bid sheet lately??? At least you will be prepared for our multi-leg days, when you return.

We hope to see all of you back soon!

I am loving it. Did three 3 day trips and 2 turns for 80 hours and finished on the 19th. I will take the long days anytime. The pay off is time at home with family and friends.

L1011Ret,

I can't remember where we laid over when we did fly it, but it was very nice and never heard of anyone complaining.

No one is more surprised than I at the drop in attrition for July.

Attrition for August was 81 for a total of 605 for the year.

I've still heard nothing about any pulldown of 20 aircraft after Labor Day.

Well, if you are going to give us the count 3 weeks in advance of the "official posting" on the website, you could at least tell us how many of the 85 were retirements. :p

It's obvious that the majority of the attrition over the past year has NOT been retirements. People are just getting fed up.
